I think it would be a nice addition to add water themed weapons / armors in GW2.

e.g.: Much like Volcanus is a fire-themed GS, why not have Oceanus too?

Cobalt is quite nice, but I’m sort of with you on this, I’d like to see an actual watery blade, perhaps it could be a legendary? Creating a rain effect around your character/leaving water footprints as walk? I don’t know.

Take a look at the Tempest Weapons. They are close enough in appearance to what you’re looking for.

I see the tempest collection more as wind-themed…
And perhaps a legendary is too much asking, but I’d be happy with just a skin or exotic.

Yeah, it is wind based but it’s the closest to the look I imagine you want. More legendaries would be welcomed. I’ve been hoping for more looks for armors and weapons besides “flames” as well.

I’m waiting for ice themed….. not fur coats….. but armor made of ice.

This is the closest ive gotten.

(and the wintersday weapons are not really what I’m looking for)

I remember the concept art for the sons of Svanir and corrupted Icebrood. I remember thinking it would be player armor. On board with you there.

Corrupted weapons are great ice weapons, not really any ice armour, though.

Having said that, with the right dye any heavy armour could look like it was made of ice.

There’s water dripping off the ugly brown rusty krait weapons…. Lol. But yeah I would welcome some cool looking water weapons.

yesterday i imagined olymp themed weapons
each god gets a weapon with their names
personally id feel epic with a bow called “artemis” or a hammer called “hades” and each are themed after that god

I guess Poseidon would be a trident, Apollo would be warhorn and Athena a spear?

But then it wouldn’t make sense to name Tyrian weapons after Earth Greek Gods…

We have a Mjölnir (Thor’s hammer from Norse mythology) so it’s not like there’s no precedent.

Yeah, I was really disappointed the Tempest set was wind rather than water/wind. I’ve been holding out for something like Brotherhood from FFX for ages…

I think they are saving that for the water dragon.

Well, Mjölnir is only a weapon name. They didn’t call it “Thor’s Hammer” to which you’d have to ask who the heck Thor is.

That said, I’ve got no problem with Olympian named weapons. How much sense does it make, all things said?
