Teleporting via waypoints cost is way too high at lvl 80… You can easly spend a few golds traveling to do your personal story. Can we reduce it a bit ?

how do you spend a few golds? the max traveling cost is 4 silver

The only time I use waypoints is when I have to get somewhere in a hurry, Why miss the opportunity to do events, harvest and kill mobs on the way to where you are going.

Waypoint costs are a pointless gold sink, the server economy WILL NOT explode if there’s no waypoint costs.

Waypoint costs are just adding to the “It’s a single player game” as people are hit in the bank if they want to go and help their friends, go and help/res somebody, go and do dynamic events.

This is supposed to be a “fun” “sociable” game and there’s no need for wp costs.

Jumping puzzles, love them or hate them, I hate them. Thread killer.

Waypoint costs are fine, 2-3 silver is nothing unless you’re using a waypoint every 2 minutes.

(And don’t say the server economy will explode, a favourite answer of the wp cost are ok lobby).

IMHO the costs are there to:
1. encourage you to fight your way to/from places
2. as an additional ‘tax’ on defeat. You’ll have to beam to a location with Armor repair and then beam back to near where you were fighting

Hmmmm, let me think, not really a good answer, it doesn’t justify wp costs at all.

GW1 didn’t need them, many other mmo’s don’t need them, why does ArtenaNet feel GW2 needs them, it’s hard enough getting gold as it is, and “they” seem to want to take it away from you (us) at every opportunity, wonder why that is.

Could it possibly be, GW2 has a cash shop where you can buy gold, GW1 didn’t,

Even the NPCs think the waypoint cost is too high. Why else do you think there are so many “escort me and my dolyak” dynamic events :P
