Lets call this an open letter to Anet concerning the state of the game.

Guild Wars 2 is nearly 2 years old and people are more and more questioning where the content has gone. Because let’s face it, Living Story is like filling a bucket with a few drops at a time.

And let’s not forget that alot of people would be willing to pay 40 euros for a full expansion that we had during Guild Wars 1 which enjoyed a long lifespan with their vast expansions that added tons of new stuff and that is what players want the most, a fresh breeze that calls out for exploration of tons of new content. Each Living Story update is finished within an hour (unless u count in the finding of every coin in Dry Top).

So let’s face it, Living Story is fun for kicks but nothing beats a large expansion pack and i truly hope you face it fast before the game dies.

We don’t NEED an expansion but we want one, what we need is arenanet to add things we’ve been asking for and do it faster than how they’re releasing things now. If we gotta pay in order to get those things, im fine with that. We just want the things we ask for instead of useless kitten we didnt ask for.

I’ve experienced nothing but disappointment from Anet.

First time play through was kinda cool, because everything was new.

Then it got stale by the time I started my 5th or 6th character.

I hardly log in anymore, and I don’t expect anything great to come anytime soon.

What type of things that are coming out in the feature pack that are not what the community has asked for? From what I can tell, adding QoL stuff for WvW (i.e. account bound and colored tags) armor sets exclusive to PvP, profession balance features, warrior nerfs, etc. are all things that have been asked for for quite awhile now. Unless you are refering to gem store items? Weapon and armor skins are extremely popular, and many people have asked for them. They may not be exactly what they had in mind, but they are getting added because of requests for them. Just curious as to what useless things you are refering to?

Did you read your post?

You did the same content six times, enjoyed it the first four times, and suddenly experienced nothing but disappointment?

???

Why not just take a break and wait for the new content, or, even better, help someone newer do the content you’ve played so much while you wait for something newer?
What do you expect? A new game every year for a one time fee?

Cause they’re doing pretty well with the LS, Imo…

I would pay 40-50 bucks for an expansion. I refuse to buy gems with real money with the crap they’ve put out lately. WTB expansion anet

I’m wondering….didn’t everyone play the same content over and over in Guild Wars (One) after the first year and a half/two years?

I mean, lots of people are commenting on how they are dissatisfied playing the same content over again, and how great GW1 was. Hmm, seemed like the same quests and missions to me (not that I didn’t enjoy them), but one did have to keep playing the same content, again…and again. /shrug
