I understand a lot of us are a bit upset with the weapons and changes that are coming into place, but let’s think properly, even if it’s for a second.

1. There is absolutely no point in complaining about changes that are most likely set in stone. We know they are set in stone because not only do we have data (From data-mines) for said specializations, we also are going to have livestreams talking about the specializations in the near, near future. It’d be quite difficult for the devs to make something completely different in such a short amount of time, and if they DO complete something, I doubt it would be good to any extent if it is rushed.

2. You have absolutely no idea how the weapon skills will work. Just to clarify, I’m not someone who feels no frustration for the weapons that are coming to certain classes. I main thief, so the whole melee staff is kind of making me nervous, but I have absolutely NO idea of what is actually going to be within the staff specialization, so I’m not going to be one of those people who quits thief because of something I still have very little info about. Also, a lot of people are disappointed about elementalist getting warhorn, but I am actually intrigued about this. I also care about elemental a lot because it was my starting class in gw2, I’m not at all surprised A net decided not to use sword, because they do not like sticking to generic ideas.

I don’t post often at all, but I don’t feel like we need a whole bunch of broken records saying “That isn’t the weapon I want!”

P.S. I know you don’t see these complaints in general chat, but you see them in the separate class forums, so I thought it would be best to put the thread here.

where do you see such posts?

I’m pretty calm. And I’m not really seeing a sea of discontent about specializations, but until we try them, we’re not going to know how good they are anyway.

I see no unusual complains on forums today. What happened? Overreaction much.

What would you have preferred?

Rifles or hammers would have been my preferred choices. Rifles because of the ranged combat aspect and hammers because it would have meant the resurrection of bunny-thumpers. I miss bunny-thumpers.

ah, ok, those are not changes. those are addition.

Were people angry with the weapons that are going to be available for the specialization? Don’t see much about it. Most about name (Dragonhunter) and nerf (Reaper). Nothing about weapons.
And I am calm, even though my Elementalist may get warhorn………

Well, if you go into the thief and elementalist forums especially you’d see more rageful comments, I only put it in here because I didn’t want to make 2 threads.

Nothing rageful about those topics. Those are people expressing their opinions. The rage took place here when HoT prepurchase was announced.

One truism that I’ve learned in my gaming life is that some people just aren’t happy unless they’re complaining about something. I’ve witnessed this in every game forum I’ve ever joined.
