Being hard enough to judge a weapon skin, I find it very… Misrepresenting? For the previews to show a very difference stance than the actual drawn idle stances.

Anyone else feel like the “drawn” weapon previews should mimic the actual stance for that weapon?

PS. I’ve noticed some staves that don’t stow the same way when you actually own the weapon, and will be higher or lower on your back in the preview.

“I control time and space; you can’t break free.~”
“Maybe I was the illusion all along!”

Yah, I’m not a fan of the non-combat idle stance the preview window shows you when using weapons. It looks really awkward and doesn’t allow you to see how your character would actually hold the weapon, just places it in roughly the same spot on your idle hand. I’d definitely be in favor of the preview window being adapted to show the normal combat stance for the weapon equipped, if its possible to do.

I agree. I find it odd (and less representative) that actual in-game readied-weapon stances aren’t used especially seeing as that’s the point of viewing the item drawn. You can still see the item proportions in proper stance, so that shouldn’t be the reason for using a lazy stance. Relatedly, some minipet previews don’t reflect actual in-game animations accurately (storm imp, for instance, flaps its winds wildly in-game, but the preview shows it flapping fairly slowly).
