Is there a way to engage weapon range indicators when swapping?

For instance, swapping from a melee to ranged weapon, show (for the player only) a max and medium shaded range for that weapon for a half second or so. Something in gaming terms a PC would be able to determine due to experience and knowledge.

I’m not talking about the targeting crosshairs used for Barrage, Grenades, or other ranged AOE attacks, but something simple other than the “Out of Range” message.

Just wondering if I’m missing out.

At the moment, the closest thing is that, if you’re out of range, a small red bar will appear beneath the skill icon. It’s hard to see, but play with it a bit. Worth noting however, it is possible in some circumstances to hit enemies from a bit further out.

The GW2 Taco overlay has range indicators you can toggle on/off.
