As a D/D Elementalist I am dissapointed in the skins there are for Daggers. They are boring and don’t have anything special! Unlike other weaponkinds, like Short-and Longbow, Greatsword, Shields, even Focuses have better skins. I’m not talking about Legendaries, but about the other weapons you can create in the Mystic Forge.

Look at this AWESOME Greatsword skins:

• Foefire’s Essence
• Vision of the Mists
• Volcanus
• …

Now check these Longbow skins:

• Azureflame
• Wintersbite
• …

And these Shortbow skins:

• Aether
• Arachnophobia
• Wintersbark
• …

Some nice shield skins:

• Eidolon
• Wall of the Mists
• …

Also a few interesting Focus skins (There are a lot of MF Focus recipes):

• The Anomaly
• Spirit Links
• …

And now the dagger skins…

• Jormag’s Needle = Brick of Ice, no animations…
• Tear of Grenth = Jormag’s Needle = Brick of Ice

I don’t know what’s the case for other kind of weapons, but please ANet, I beg you, give all weapon kinds so not only Greatswords, bows, shields…) an interesting amount of weapon skins, that are unique and proud to have

I agree in that dagger skins are lacking, but there are still some pretty satisfying skins already in the game, even for daggers. My dagger skin of choice is the corrupted shard. It is crafted using level 400 weaponsmithing, requires the recipe (can be bought on TP), and needs 20 corrupted lodestones and an etched shamon’s shard of rage. The skin looks pretty knarly, but the reason why I like it is that it has one of the better particle effects that I’ve seen in the game. Every time you unsheath it, dark blue mist envelops the dagger, and it really stands out. If you’re looking for awesome dagger skins for your ele, I’d say corrupted shards stand at the top.

Go buy GW1. Link your accounts. Run through stuff until you fill up the hall of monuments to the dagger skin.

IMO, it’s the best looking D/D dagger skin there is. It fits oh so well. ESPECIALLY in earth attunement
