Guild Wars 2

I was just perusing the weapon variety of the upcoming revenant and I found there was much to be desired. I appreciated the fact in GW 1 when Nightfall came out that scythe weapons were created for the dervish.

Why not bring in a new weapon for the revenant like a halberd, two-handed battle axe, spetum, partisan, scythe, etc.?

why should only the revenant get a special never used before weapon?

rather they just use a existing weapon in a special way alike they already do with hammer and hopefully melee staff.
