I was thinking the other day I know that the legendary weapons will get the upgrade to ascended. Wouldn’t it be nice to have an easy way to make the weapons that cost a lot easier to upgrade to ascended. I am not saying we should have an automatic upgrade but something that wouldn’t require players to completely start from scratch.

On that note are we going to be able to transmute the new ascended weapons?

There’ll be a way to upgrade your exotic to ascended easily.

First you’ll need your exotic weapon (this will be the exotic precursor), and then a simmilar ascended weapon (the upgrade item), and gather the upgrade ingredients: 1 eldritch scroll, 1 gift of light, 70 mystic coins and 250 orichalcum greater blades.

Drop all the upgrade ingredients in the mystic forge. Don’t look at the result item, it is not important. Contact me in-game, I’ll give you 20 gold for it…

Use the 20 gold to buy 400 gems (a bit extra just in case), use 200 of those gems to buy 5 transmutation crystals, then you use the transmutation crystals, put the precursor and upgrade item on the window, select the precursor skin, and the upgrade item stats, and done, your exotic is now upgraded to ascended..

(Disclaimer, this is a joke, but if you still want to sell me the result for 20g I’ll be happy to pay you on tuesday.. )

Perhaps, but it might be cheaper to just use a transmutation stone. You didn’t make that weapon for the stats, but the looks, right? So just craft any ascended weapon to your liking and transmute it.
