Was standing in southsun and it started mildly raining and it looked realy cool and gave it a lost island atmosphere, went on my alt in fireheart rise and the fire rain just looked EPIC. Wouldnt it be good if the new area north of frostgorge had a chance to blizzard like the one on fractals of the mists dungeon gaining frostbite slowly overtime, everyone running around looking for a warm place to replenish there warmth meter. Agony resistance would increase the time you can stay in the blizzard.

This zone would not be a place for bots to hang out and the loot tables could be realy good with alot of champion icebrood out and about.

I would like to have seasonal and weather changes like that! It can be more verait our comrades, and discuss around the fire!

it would almost be easy, even if it would rattle farmers

You know what would be cool? Flooding areas Makes for really fertile ground, too. Or having tides in the area around the sea of sorrows.

By cons, wtf! my asura will be cold! I will have a skin and a cozy fur lined hood!

Or with the tide, a raincoat = ’)

I made a post a few days ago about weather. Sadly I posted right in the middle of some other extreme weather, and it went unnoticed.

Is it me, or did weather ‘change’ with the last patch? I found myself in a massive snow storm in Dredgehaunt a few days ago. Last week some time there was a big rain storm in Queensdale. I ‘swear’ I had never seen that before!

I have not yet crossed it! I’ll have to go see!

But with the weather, it’s great to go through an area that changes, evolves and undergoes a slight change!

Sorry for the double post, but I just realized something:

The NPCs lost in storms and weather effects!

I just imagined the lost, shivering, and I realize that I was thinking of a command:

Help.

Help NPC has to climb out of the water on the sheltered shore, put a blanket over their shoulders and lead them to a shelter in the storm …

Help them find a restful, even talking to them, as in the human introduction.

That would be very interesting time vents. But should not that be his one day, but two short days over two weeks …

I just realized that this thread might want to nd up in the “Suggestions” forum

I’m still voting for flooding and tides. And really thick fog, every once in a while (did I mention that I really want that graveyard-ghost-event back? I never managed to trigger it again after the first beta or so ;_;), maybe for special events.

By suggestion, there is already a post or two above, but it is buried under tons of suggestions also interresting.

And there it is mostly to discuss this magnificent landscape, all new effects seen in fractals, reversible and some see them everywhere.

If we give the suggestion (which already exists) post suggestion, we will forget, and maybe forget to dream with.

In any case, this kind of post does not interressent devs, or may be closed or moved by a moderator = /

Actually if you look more closely, the weather effects are triggered in some specific areas only. If you land in the first way point in the cove it’s gonna rain, but if you move a bit up – woah, suddenly sun!

I think it could have been more random. Seriously it makes no sense and it’s a basic feature. Even old games like Baldur’s Gate had random rainstorms throughout the world..

Sorry not been on in 11 days to check this, anyway Shiverpeak mountain is the place i was talking about north of frostgorge sound, imagine walking through it battling with frostbite and powerful monsters with a blizzard stopping your vision 90% of the time, just would be awesome! (this is more of a suggestion)

Along with the weather, as I level my character(s) I am in awe at the scenery in general. This really is a beautiful game and I think that is what makes me enjoy it most.

Squeals with Joy OMG!! I would LOVE to have a zone where certain times of the day (IG) had the zone like completely submerged in water and then other times where all the water recides!! They could make it so at night the zone floods and during the day all the waters gone!! That’s be AMAZING!!

PS: do we have a new zone announced already O.o? And the blizzard idea would be great BUT keep agony resist out of it, the goal is to make gear -not- required for stuff not enforce the whole you need X gear to do Y.
