We don’t have an option to get married in GW2 but what do you guys think! Can we arrange one as like in Role playing style

I see this new place in LA, I don’t remember the name of it though. Seems like perfect for it.
We can hire instrument players to play romantic songs.
Can buy lots of fireworks and distribute it to people.
And have lots of food, bonfires, banners, guild banquet, box of fun, bobble heads, etc.
Have coordinated dance maybe.
Have similar outfits of bride and groom.
And name change contract would be a nice addition and cute too

Would love to hear if someone has done this kind of stuff before

No. Roleplayers already deal with the issue creatively enough. Secondly, I dont want to see map chat filled any further with bigotry and narrowminded hate. I get enough of that being forced to watch CNN’s coverage of Donald Tramp at work.

All of these can be done already with the use of RP, a few friends a little imagination.

As for an in-game Wedding/Marriage mechanic – no thanks. The last thing we need is ArenaNet getting tickets over in-game squabbles about who gets the keep the Quaggans when it all goes wrong!!

You can already RP everything out of your list, so gather a group of like-minded people and arrange it.

I’m pretty sure RP’ers already manage all of the above, as others have said. And now there’s a pretty little island for those who wish to use it for that purpose, while others can use it however they like or not at all. The choice is up to the players, as it should be.

For my part, I’d rather see Anet’s time and resources go toward fixing the current content and preparing more, not catering to the demands of the various social crusaders.

Weddings should be an in-game function. But why stop there, let’s go all in if you want to get married in-game.

Both banks need to become joint accounts. Let’s say that any withdrawal worth more than 50G/day needs to be agreed upon by both spouses.

Would need to include a way to figure out a split of what is in the banks. Can base it on time played, gold earned, what you came into the marriage with. Maybe have a divorce brawl, similar to costume brawl. Maybe even have a divorce quest.
