The 15 chars is because the forums won’t let you post unless you have 15 characters (letters, numbers, spaces) in you post.

I’m still somewhat sceptical of the impact on the game as a whole, but also fully intending to nag every friend who said they’re not sure or can’t afford it.

I’m also going to get a free account on the American servers. I’ve wanted to try playing on them for some time, but not enough to justify even the discounted cost.

I’m amazed new players are joining now. Only two days rumors and 2 hours confirmation. + a whole new procedure to get in. How could player get here so fast? It’s like they knew to much to early. (Not that this is a bad thing).

Still have small issues with it (like wvw, spying is to easy, realy big issue).

Welcome new players to the more or less awesome game of Guild Wars 2. Pls dont mind the screaming veterans, just ignore them as the devs and the company do. Also dont mind those guys who look completely random with names like adofnn or ahsdgs. They will accompany you for your enitre game experience, chasing you like some creepy ghost and whispering dirty things in your ears.

Refund period ended July 31, 2015, true…but there you knew already HoT was coming for quite a long time. If it’s a money issue, you had plenty of time for demanding your refund. Now you shall remain silent, cuz nobody cares tbh. You had your chances.

A very nice welcome to the new players OP. I spent some time in beginner maps too today to see whats going on. The folks I chatted with were nice and appreciative of assistance.

I think how this all works out in part may be our being accepting of them as fellow players who just want to have fun.

Well i helped plenty of f2p players since morning today. I haven’t experienced any troll activity or gold sellers. So the devil is not that bad like some described (me included).

Yes i was worried yesterday and on friday when ign failed to hide the secret, but after learning the restrictions and first few hours of experience i am now sure that in the long run, this decision will be positive for us players and arena net.

We get more players and arena get more potential customers. Even 3 of my real life friends declared that they will try the game now, finally after 3 years. They refused to buy the game before trying it out (they missed out trial weekends due to work). So now they can play during week without rushing and eventually they will buy HoT and play with me. It is win/win for me and ArenaNet

Also the response from community INGAME is outstanding, vets welcoming new f2p players, a lot of info on /map chat about the game from veteran players describing the game mechanics etc. . No doubt GW2 has one of the best communities INGAME (i don’t count forums). I have never experienced any of that in any other game after transition from p2p/b2p to f2p (well GW2 is not fully changing to fp2, but You know what i mean).

It is warming my heart and i am glad, that i am a part of that communty. You rock ppl.

created a new charr ele (although I main a charr ele already) to level up with the new folks and make my new character raid ready as well…so a new endgame goal for now. Welcome to Tyria & for Iron legion!
