Hey there ^^

So, Core Specializations are on the horizon and HoT isn’t toooooo far away either and quite some time ago, there was a thread asking for which armor stats you’d like to see.

Since alot of annoucements and changes were made, which armor stats would you like to see now or coming with HoT?

I personally would love to see (Power, Condi, Ferocity) as I would like to use this set on both ranger and guardian. Looking at the new Core specs, there are alot of alternative ways to crit frequently. So I’d love to play into that. (Remorseless on Ranger for example)

I see, very useful, my friend. In one of 100 times.

I don’ think you really looked at the new ranger traits and theory crafting, have you? Nor really at the Condition changes that will run into the game. I don’t mind you not being in favor for it, but don’t state it being useless when it is clearly untrue.

I think Power, Condi damage and Ferocity would be too strong on some professions. I think the reason Sinister and Rampager are ok is because there is no consistant way to increase ferocity, therefore the crit damage is not that high. But if you have high power, high crit damage AND high condi damage, some professions (who are capable of criting often without having points in precision) would be too strong.

Personally I would like to see Healing Power, Precision and Condi damage.

I want Power, Healing Power, Vitality. I don’t care which is primary. But probably Vitality.

Precision/Power, Power/Precision, Toughness/Vitality
(basically power, precision, toughness or power, precision, vitality with power or precision as the main stat)

I know Captain’s exists, but there isn’t really a way to get it (is it PvP only?)

Captains is good, but I would like roughness switched with vitality on certain professions because of base armor and base hp differences.

I know that was a spelling mistake but I would love to see an attribute called Roughness lol

I’d prefer a scrapping of the “nomenclature” system and a move to give us actual stat selections. Let us choose our 1-Major/2-Minor trio in a way that isn’t so painful.

But, that won’t happen without completely razing the lackluster crafting system. :\

Many alts; handle it!

Power / Precision / Toughness and Power / Precision / Vitality (both with big power) in the current nomenclature.

Additionally, I’d like to see sets like Power / Precision / Boon Duration or Condition Damage / Condition Duration / Toughness, especially now that boon and condition duration are getting pulled from traits as base stats.

I’d also really like to see four stat gear (at least a dozen combinations) and five stat gear (fewer but still a half dozen or so combos) that gives a minor boost in raw stat numbers for splitting your stats more ways.

I actually do want Captain’s to become a proper combination not reserved only for ascended trinkets and such. I’d definitely use it on my power/crit thief.

And Berserker isn’t for pretty much EVERY profession? You probably run full Zerker and are afraid of losing your meta. :P

And Berserker isn’t for pretty much EVERY profession?

I’m not going to dignify the second part of your post with a response. However, I will respond to the first part.

Firstly, there is nothing wrong with berserker stats. The problem is with how the game responds to and rewards players using berserker stats. But that is for a different topic entirely and has been discussed to death as far as I am concerned.

Berserker stats are all about increasing your direct damage, and nothing else. They do not increase your condition damage. Rampager and sinister stats increase your conditon damage and partially increase your direct damage. Both these stats are not able to fully increase both damage types (direct and condition), and so far because there is no reliable way to consistantly increase ferocity, beyond gear, this will not change. In the current game you cannot increase both damage types to the max, and I believe that is why we do not have any stat combination where condition damage and ferocity are on the same set.

While Precision/Power, Condition Damage & Ferocity (PCF) stats will not, on their own, be able to fully increase both damage types, there are a few professions that can crit without any points in precision, as well as relatively easy access to fury/might on all professions. This therefore allows players to fully increase both damage types on one build. Making PCF stats a much more powerful combination than berserker stats, or rampager and sinister stats. I do not think it is Anet’s intention to allow a character to build for both damage types maxed out.

I hope that explains my point a bit clearer.
