I think some positive feedback is needed in this forum so here are my 2 cents.

The sound: I think the sound design of GW2 is one of the best I’ve seen in any game in the history of anything. The cities feel alive with all the NPC chit-chat, kids running around, yelling, laughter, gossip, etc. Sometimes I’ll just stop and listen to NPC’s conversations. In the world map it’s not different. You hear mosquito buzzing, crickets, running water, the wind, it’s amazing.
Also the soundtrack is spot on. It gives the right feeling of epicness to the world of Tyria.

The Dynamic Events: I was walking around Claypool (I think that’s the name of the village) the other day and out of nowhere a farmer came running towards me asking for help because his farm was taken by bandits. I run to his farm and there they were, already being killed by other players. I joined the fight and we sent them running away. Then I see the same farmer coming down the road with his bulls and cows to retake his farm.
The beauty of this is that the bandits were only able to take the farm because there was no one around to defend it in the first place, things are happening everywhere no matter if you’re there or not. This is the real notion of persistent world.

The Crafting System: I love how you can combine different materials intuitively to find new recipes. Also the way you can transfer collectibles from your inventory to the bank without having to constantly travel to big cities only to free space on your bag is amazing because it doesn’t break the pace of the game.

I’m still level 14 and I haven’t even left Queensdale yet. I haven’t been in any dungeons, haven’t killed any dragons, haven’t tried WvW or SPVP, but if those are anything as good as what I’ve seen so far then I know I’ve put my money on the right place.
