Least favorite – Norn males
actually they arent big enough, they should make them bigger, even more muscular, with bigger hands and wider necks!

Hands down, no contest: largos. I can’t wait for these guys to be playable! I’m really hoping they’ll come alongside tengu, because they’d be the perfect compliment to the colorful bird people.

Favorite playable: Human. Probably because I play humans in pen and paper games too. I like the fleixbility the race has. Other races always seem like walking stereotypes not just in this game, but every game. It’s like in order to describe another race, we become unintentionally racist and boil the entire race down to 1-2 personality quirks. All Norn are drunken Brawlers. All Vulcans are logical to a fault. All Qunari are borderline insane. Humans can be anything they want and still fit within the lore of their species.

Least fave playable race: Tossup between the Charr and the Sylvari. Probably the Charr. they just don’t sync up with me.

Favorite non-playable: Kodan. Seriously. So. Awesome.

Least fave non-playable: Risen. “Everyone, come!” Oh shut up already.

My least favorite race is the race to 80. You miss too much. (c:

Really, I just can’t see the appeal. That would go for the Tengu as well. Bird people?
That’s what the kids dig these days?

As a whole, the Krait, Risen, and Dredge, just aggro too much. I like the art, not so much the behavior.

Playable

Fav: Humans. Why? Because it’s alot more easier for me to relate to something that is my race.
Least: None. Played all races and have enjoyed them all. Expect there are some flaws with the larger races…
it feels like I’m running so slowly!! >_<

Non-Playable

Fav: Tie between Quaggans and Skritt. They’re both adorable and extremely funny.
Least: Krait with a fiery passion. I want to swim in peace!! GRRR!

I’ll stick to just the playable races because there are too many unplayable to choose from and I haven’t met them all yet.

Favourite – Human

They’ve gone through a lot and are still standing, showing a remarkable resilience and will to survive.

Least favourite – Charr

Look cool, but are an imperialistic, industrial machine. Clearly as much of a blight on the face of Tyria as the undead ever were :p

My least favorite is easily The Risen, kitten those guys and their crazy respawn rates in Orr….

I think the Quaggon and Kodan are pretty cool tho.

*Side Note: The Charr and Sylvani are really cool race concepts. I have not seen these type of races before in any other MMO or RPG.

Favorite: Largos. I just love how they look and that they are aquatic.

Least favorite: Krait. So annoying, especially on those ships where you had to jump and you had to kill every single one of them to not be kicked off a border.
Not to mention underwater they endlessly grab you to where they are.

Fav: Asura (cause they are condescending awesomesauce, I also love their technology and architecture)

Least fav: Human male (kitten I tired of the male human sage VO from SWTOR, it sucked in TOR and it sucks in GW 2)

If they’re such geniuses, why does almost everything they make blow up, requiring me to save them on my Sylvari? =p I’ve had fewer accidents happen in three years of chemistry labs.

Asura are cute? They are my next most disliked race after Charr.

Charr act like every other game’s Orks. Colour em green and you wouldn’t tell the difference.

Asura are just too cartoonish for my liking. Like those kitten Axlotl-ish Quaggan.

Sylvari and the boring take on yet another elf race is a step behind. oh elves with a British accent.. what an angle..

Favorite is Asura, if you ignore the Arcane Council :p
Least favorite is the Norn. I dunno… They’re just a little too alcoholic. In character creation you’re forced to have gotten too drunk in your personal story with the option of having had a fight, blacked out, or lost something.

I like to play the small people in MMOs with the big burely classes (hence my Asuran/Asurian? Guardian in GW2 and Gnome Warrior in what shall not be named), and well good golly gosh (censor didn’t like the 1st word i had) they’re just plain cute .

Least Favorite = Asura (yes you read that right, the same as above!).
Nearly everything clips , i love to armor/weapon hunt for looks, but i seem to spend a lot of my time trying to find sets that don’t clip with anything.

Favorite asethetics of homeland and lore (meaning background lore) would be norn, I like the more spiritual serious side of the older norn that we saw more in GW1 and less the frat boy lawl I<3beerz that has been forced on them. Favorite looking race…..sylvari? they are so diverse and some characters can be stunning! Favorite personal story? charr definitely, building a warband is very fun! least favorite race…..as a thief definitely dredge. I don’t feel bad they were enslaved I would commit genocide against these guys! Hordes of them knocking you off ledges, immune to blind (one of thief’s main defenses) and annoying!

I don’t see the appeal of kodan. They look interesting, and their lore has some draw; but the ones in game are unbelievably condescending, arrogant, and unpleasant to be around. Horrible attitude for a race of refugees, who are looking for a place to settle in another “lesser” (in their own terms) races territory

As bad as asura attitudes are, kodan are way worse.

They’ve gone through a lot and are still standing, showing a remarkable resilience and will to survive.

This aspect will be interesting when we revisit Cantha were the human society is thriving. It will be fascinating to see how the people unified under an imperial banner has changed over 250 years.

In Tyria the Charr have become the dominate race, and their technology has advanced because of it. So, imagine the Human advancements made over in Cantha after they ended the plague.

I like most of the races, they all have their personalities, that being said the one I like the least are the sylvari.

They’re young and naive, too idealistic and egotistical about it. Historian Fia aka Jane Goodall in Cursed Shore is a perfect example. Ugh, really hope some race walks into the grove en mass and wake them up from their “dream” for real.

Give me The Nordic Viking over anything else any day of the week.
Least fav playable: Sylvari “it’s a plant”
Least fav: The Skritt, remind me of Fraggle Rock for some reason.

Playable: Norn (I like the whole spirit/shamanism thing)

Nonplayable: Tengu, and whatever the underwater harpy/elf-with-wings is in Mount Maelstrom.

Least favorite playable: Asura. I just wanna drop kick these guys all over Tyria with my Norn.

Favourite playable: Sylvari. everything about them is just gorgeous, their appearances, their home environments, their childish enthusiasm and naivete.. yes. i do spend a disproportionate amount of time admiring the sylvari npcs. bite me. i just havent gotten round to making one yet because I cant decide on a name or class.

least favourite playable: the norn with their swaggering machismo… acting tough gets old fast.

favourite unplayable: quaggan, hylek, skritt… i’d befriend all the races if it was possible, too bad you can only chose to help one.

least favourite unplayable: largos.. just kittening creep me out, plus they remind me too much of DnD Drow.. no thanks.
