What Went Wrong?
First, let me state that I love gw2. I’ll be playing it for a long time, and I play it slow.
I liked the Halloween event WAY more. I could only attend the first two parts of the Lost Shores event, and not the last one. I ran around the island, there’s nothing there besides hard hitting karka in a boring landscape. Or maybe I’m missing the obvious? And why can’t I get to the nearby maps which are so close? Not even a portal?
Anyway, the first two parts were about standing around in LA on an overflow server, until an endless stream of karka happened. It seems I missed out on important drops from the boss chest. I don’t know what exactly I missed, I haven’t checked out yet how to get legendary weapons but what I do understand from it is that those parts are way more money than I’ll ever make, and that something better happened that I don’t know how to get.
I did jump into the fractals and woa, that rocks (unlike the gaming insight of the average player, mind you, but I see that as an opportunity to train my zen attitude).
I also played some spvp (doomed to pug, I don’t know any casual tpvp guild on Seafarer’s Rest) and absolutely love the new map. It’s bewildering chaotic, perfect.
I can feel Shing Jea in it (GW1), does that mean a new expansion will go Canthan?
First, let me start with saying that I love GW2. I will continue by saying that I love GW2. And let me close with saying that I really love GW2.
Just because you dont have complaint, doesnt mean you have to make sure everybody knows you otherwise love GW2, to not be seen as a whiner.
Just the fact that you are stating your opinion about something you didnt like means you like gw2 and want to make it a better game.
lost shores is a great update imo.

You do? I think its a terrible area with no real thought or imagination gone into it, anti zerg zone. No desire to back there and I will just stick with Orr for now.

Nothing bad with the event or the new zone. The forced dungeon grind is what went wrong..

Yeh Fluff is the last problem the game has, but with PVP being boring and broken and them wasting time making a gear grind no one wanted instead of fixing pvp issues sends a clear message that they don’t care if pvp is a joke as long as they get WOW locusts to buy the game and play it for two weeks.
The problem I had with the Sunday event was, it was too grindy an’ the death rate was too high. (entire army wiped on more’n one occasion) So I wish there’d been better variety an’ maybe tone down the death storm just ah tad. (I played my last hour in the event [only gotta stay 2 1/2 before hadta run off] as ah medic an’ had fun rushin’ out inta the field with enemies everywhere, ta res people, but even that was gettin’ old after awhile.)
Problem I have with Southsun Cove, now, is that it was really only a weekend event island … I ain’ really seein’ a reason ta go back. I got the map explored, tried the jump puzzle, an’ did the DEs what weren’t bugged … now it’s jus’ Monster Island. Now, if we had more events which kept sendin’ players back ta Monster Island – maybe mostly jus’ optional DE’s or the like about rescue missions, crazy Asura scientists, learnin’ more about the Karka and some deep secrets they bring ta the table – ya know, B Monster Movie stuff, I’d be all over that.
And, yeah, I don’ feel like we “Changed the Face of Tyria” or any such rot – we beat up ah raid monster like allota people were askin’ for – but maybe we’ll see more commin’ outa that … could jus’ be too early ta tell.
I’m sorry I stepped outta yer box, don’ worry, if
ya whine enough they’ll put me right back.
