Now that Anet has staited that there will not be anymore Legendary Armor coming to the game.
What do you think will be the next big thing (new reword) that will make us grind the living kitten out of the new Raids?
I have no idea what can they do, legendary backpack (lame IMO), legendary trinkis (even lamer), legendary mount (wink wink, this seems ok, but not good enough).

Will there need to be new rewards? Dungeons didn’t have new rewards added, other than an adjustment to Gold. Maybe, Raids will have the same fate.

If there are new item rewards (equivalent to Legendary Armor), I imagine they would be a long time coming.

Good luck.

If they don’t want to add more Legendary armors they could always have auras, individual armor pieces, minis, weapon skins, etc.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Yep. I know. But since they said they aren’t going to add more Legendary armor then it’s going to be more of the same. Unless you can think of something else?

Every new raid wing has unique skins, minis, and sometimes infusions to acquire. Those are the ever-expanding rewards you’re looking for, whereas legendary armor is the ultimate reward that you can earn from all raids.

This.

The Armor is the “Legendary Collection”

All the other stuff that the raids offer (including pieces for guild hall trophies, which are a major incentive for a lot of people) will be new for new raids.

Also, you’d be silly to think that no other set of legendary armor will exist ever. Certainly not once per expansion, but you can virtually guarantee that at some point in the future there will be more sets of the stuff one way or the other.

Next Rewards for Raids?

Quite possibly: More opportunities to make Magnetite shards, more interesting weapon skins, auras, the usual.

Theoretically: Glider Skins, Weee!Mount Skins, special crafting resources, new masteries, 3rd Generation Legendary weapons….

ANet has painted itself into a corner. Raids come with the baggage of (many) raiders who demand that raids must have better rewards than anything else in the game. When they introduced raids, Anet threw in the one reward that had sufficient cachet to fulfill that expectation. If they are now going to pull the plug on further Legendary Armor sets (presumably due to a huge amount of work for relatively little payoff), I have no clue what they can use instead.

Imo what they should have done was to come up with something besides L. Armor to serve as the primary raid reward. That they didn’t suggests they might be as clueless as to what else raiders might accept as I am.

Legendary agony/stat infusions.

But I really do want more raids…I love raiding…

Oh I have another idea, legendary loot box… lmao… for every week you clear a raid boss on CM mode.

Please nerf bag types instead of class skills!

Legendary Accessories, Amulets and Rings?
I mean, it may sound trivial, but it’s very handy for fractals and raids, especially fractals, since you can put AR on it, and then use it for all your characters.
I already once suggested a legendary amulet with a graphical effect per class that uses it:
warrior: Fancier banners
necromancer: shadowy minions
elementalist: halo of elemental attunement
guardian: blue light becomes red
engineer: fancier turrets
revenant: thorns of ripping mists
ranger: pet leaves a trail of nature
thief: .. no clue
(note, just visual effects)

As I see it now, raiding been a sucsees for HoT. I don’t see them stoping making raids all of a sudden.
Plus they haven’t said they will not make anymore Raids like they did with legendary armor.

That’s good idea and all but this will be one expansion/raid worth of reword. What will they do in futere expansions?

They really have backed themselves into a corner here. The more effort they put into rewards for raids – which, by their own admission, are meant to be exclusionary – the more they create a have/have not dynamic in the game.

Unique skins, minis and titles – those are the ways players should be able to virtually celebrate/brag about the content they enjoy in game. Anything beyond that risks snowballing into a significant split in the game community.

They need to stay away from anything functional – that offers gameplay advantages of any kind. Legendary armor exclusive to a single game mode (raids or otherwise) was a mistake from the beginning.

Legendary armor only has one gimmick which is the freedom of stat selection. Some will argue if you don’t raid, you don’t have a need for it. When it comes to Fractals you already have so much more freedom in which specs you can take, so you can buy a few ascended sets for less the effort than a legendary set.

that shouldnt matter if the whole gimmick was to use stat change and rune swap to save inventory space ‘yknow’.

that’s the value of the legendary armor, it’s gotta have some gimmick, otherwise it’d just be ascended armor with a purple name. But it can’t have better stats because then it’d be part of a treadmill
