What about shards, globs and vials?
Would hope that they could be used to shortcut from “non-infused” to lvl5 infusion built in. That or Toilet recipe to short cut up as well.
Though wait and see I guess….

3100 Fractal Relics (and I just spent 1000+ on shards)
I also made and infused:
Ascended Staff (150 relics)
Ascended Scepter (75 relics)
Ascended Focus (75 relics)
Ascended Sword (75 relics)
Ascended GreatSword (150 relics)
Legendary Hammer + Spear (300 relics)
If I understand correctly, all of those infusions (900 relics) are going away?
The main problem with Fractal rewards has been that the rewards were not designed for consistent players, they were designed for people to dabble a bit, get a couple rings and then do something else.
I really hope there are some retro active rewards and some new uses for people who have put a lot of time into Fractals.
The inherent +5 AR in infused items is going to have its own AR infusion slot. If you have an infused item, they will automatically have this filled. You’re not losing anything.
We have loads of shards, globs and vials of Mist Essence. What will those serve to now that we can’t infuse anymore?

I cant seem to get my hand on enough globs…every black lion salvage kit that I use on an 80 rare seems to yield 1 or no globs. Im broke.

You’re confused about what globs he’s talking about. He’s talking about Globs of Coagulated Mists Essence, which are drops in Fractals.
There was no mention of infusing going away. As far as I am aware when you infuse an item now it gains an additional infusion slot that is only for agony resist. You’ll still be able to, and need to, infuse all your items to progress.
edit: this includes both weapons, and all 6 armor slots. so you’ll probably need a good deal of globs.
