Guild Wars 2

I know the game is still fairly new and people are still learning a lot and experimenting. I also don’t know where to put this topic, as there are “race” forums, and “proffesion” forums, but nothing about combinations.

I am wondering what people think is the best race for an engineer, or the best race for a necro, and so on and so on.

I am speaking specifically about single player campaign, and I am not worried about the “story” persay. I am only interested in what combinations people think work the best for each for profession. Especially engineer which happens to be the next character I am going to make, I have a charr necro, sylvari ele, and asuran theif, leaving me with norn, and human, but I wonder if there is a better choice for engineer.

I am interested in what “race” traits" work best for engineer, and all other proffessions for that matter. I hope this is the right place for this thread and will generate several responses. I just don’t want to involve a lot of time to a character to find out I would have been better off picking a different race for that particular proffession.

it doesnt matter much from what i can tell. racial choice affects appearance and starting zone but the racial skills dont give any advantage to any one class. It’s just fluff.

The races are designed to be equal and work well with any procession. I not sure if combination matters too much only because it was designed for races to not benefit over other races for having the same profession. I know for PvP you don’t get to use your racial skills anyways, only your profession skills. I think the only thing that matters with the race you choose is appearance, starting zone, and the personal story.
