What are the chances I will sell...
You are participating in a low-velocity market. If it sells, it will sell.
According to GW2spidy (http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/38121) one tonic sold at just over 250g a couple of days ago, and one sold at 272g last week – expect to wait anywhere between two days and a week.
Ok, thank you so much for the info! knowing that 2 have sold for that makes me less worried that it wont sell. This is the rarest item I have ever gotten so I’m hopping it will sell so I can buy some of the items I have always wanted.
Just great… some one put one up at 15 copper less then mine and I don’t have the 12 gold to relist it…
gz with the item
Just try and forget you have it, and go enjoy the game ( I know, easier said than done)
It will sell sooner or later
^ This. Just leave it up for sale and go play the game normally. If you priced the tonic within an acceptable range, it WILL sell sooner or later. You just have to be patient for slow-moving items like these.
If it still hasn’t sold within a month and you’ve been undercut lots of times, then yes, you should consider taking it down and relisting.

Don’t relist. Relax. If your price was reasonable, it will be bought sooner or later. The size of the GW2 market sometimes surprises me – sometimes I put up a sell listing thinking “no one’s ever going to get that!” and then a month later I get a surprise chunk of gold in my TP box.
If you’re not frequently at a TP, just use the link I posted above, and it should help you check whether the tonic has sold (you’d see the sell price go up). Sure, the guy who undercut you will sell first, but in the bigger scheme of things it’s not going to matter.
