In today’s livestream, (as well as earlier ones) the devs made sure to hide thier screen while swapping skills, because it would reveal things they aren’t ready to show us yet.

So, wild speculation time: What do you think they’re actually hiding?

All they would have to do is click the little arrow and click a skill icon, so whatever they’re hiding must be in the skill selection panel.

A likely guess would be the absence of racial skills if they are in fact removing them, (Or even the addition of new ones, as other threads have discussed the possibility of learning other race skills through masteries ) but then, the test area they’re using is a copy of Heart of the Mists, where we don’t have access to racial skills anyways, so we wouldn’t think much of it if we noticed them gone.

Therefore, my guess would be completely NEW skills, either the skills for the Elite Specilizations that they wouldn’t want to accidentally show, or possibly new universal skills.

Barring that, perhaps they changed the actual UI for swapping skills on the fly and it’s not finished yet.

What do ya’ll think?

Last time they were hiding trait lines and other unannounced content. They are hiding things like the specialization names which they accidentally didn’t hide for the elementalist and wound up revealing the name Tempest.

So they were just hiding things like that again so we don’t see spec names before they are officially revealed.

That the new way Thieves will have to get into stealth. In order to avoid all of those targetted reveals used by Engies as example one will have to put their hand over the screen to hide the thief. There a few bugs to work out like “How are we going to make sure the Engineer puts his hand over the thief on his screen at home so he can not see him anymore”

SR is to be replaced by the “peek-a-boo Blankie” skill.
