Guild Wars 2

For me, the first couple of major updates this game had we’re promising. They added a lot of (albeit temporary) good content. Things you didn’t need to do, but did anyway because it was fun.

Now I fear patches.

I play this game for the WvW and have always viewed PvE as bonus content, something I could do for a change of pace. Now I feel like Anet is shoving a monstrous amount of PvE garbage down my throat. Not only does nothing added excite me anymore, but most of it makes me upset. Like ascended weapon crafting. I want nothing to do with a boring kitten crafting grind, but I need to do it or I’ll fall behind in the WvW scene.

I’m being pushed away from a game I want to love, but cant. In all honesty if nothing changes I’m gonna leave. The only reason I haven’t left yet is the lack of a modern large scale Pvp fantasy game. It’s looking like ESO will just come in and blow GW out of the water. At least in terms of large scale PvP. I wish it wouldn’t, but if this game just turns into a giant PvE grind then it certainly will.
