Personally I’d like to see the following :

-More armor and weapons skins. Both acquirable through the TP but also through the game. The game really lacks in this department. So few skins added to a cosmetically driven game in almost 2 years.

-A better, more engaging story. You could argue that LS season 1 had this but honestly it was only decent near the end. The beginning was both dull and senseless.

-A better antagonist – I hope we don’t get another character like Scarlet whose primary motivation was somewhat along the lines of “she’s mad and evil and also super smart”.

-More interesting and rewarding areas to play in. Right now there’s very little incentive to participate in the “open world” outside a few world boss encounters and farmable areas in the game.
If they’re adding more areas I hope these areas will have something unique and rewarding associated so players have something to do and work for not just speed through them and never return again.

-More right/wrong ambiguity and possibly more choices. In LS season 1 everything was very clear – Scarlet was evil and we were good so we fought her and won.
I’d like the LS season 2 to incorporate multiple points of view, maybe different factions, and let the player decide who to help and what decisions he’ll have to make in order to side with one faction or another.

Feel free to comment and add your own, I’m sure people have a lot of interesting ideas and wishes for Season 2 – so why not share?

If here they fall they shall live on when ever you cry “For Ascalon!”

1) Armor/Weapon : I think we have plenty of armor alreaydy (You can see the high numbers when you go into the wardrobe). Still more is always good and they shouldn’t stop adding armor on a regular basis. Same with weapons, but some particular weapons (I’m looking at you focus and mace) need some serious love compare to other like the Greatsword. Especially since focus and mace are part of a meta build for Elementalist, Warrior and Guardian, these weapons are use a lot, but we still don’t have a lot of really nice looking ones.
2) Ya the story was terrible in LS1. Well the global idea of the story was pretty good, its was more in the execution. It always felt flat. Gameplay and story are suppose to reinforce each other and there was none of that in the LS1.
3) I think that scarlet was a freaking awesome character. But again, super hyper devastating bad execution. A super intelligent sylvari gone mad and psychopath by the supernatural influence, but that still seem to combat it at least at the beginning. That could be an awesome character. Think golum, the Joker, Patrick Bateman, etc. There is so many exemple of how they could have approach the character in a engaging way. But most of the time you see scarlet at the end that only say : ‘’Ahah that was me all along, kitten you.’’ And then get the hell out of there. No character developpement (except in some stuff that you read, but never when you face scarlet). I wanted to see her get mad at us because we kittened up some of her plan. I wanted to see the interior combat, see her get completly crazy at some point, I wanted to see her mental state get worst and worst over time (because she have a elder dragon in her head for god sake), she could talk to herself and everybody is like wtf. I wanted to see some interaction with leader of all those alliance, when they start to doudt her mental stability, but she still give them victory so they continue to follow them for a reason, not just because ‘’script, kitten you’’.
4) Ya, ppl want more place to explore. I rather that they make the current world more rewarding. There is plenty of content that most ppl ignore because they give 200 karma and a couple silver for about 30min of work.
5) I hate white and black. Nobody is white or black. Every white knight ppl have some kittenty grey down their pants and every evil person, is not totally evil. That make the story more believeable and the character more likable.

I’ll add.
- Meaningfull and challenging stuff to do. Some LS1 were great, but a lot were bad achievement hunting.
- Legendary Weapons and precursor crafting. It a bit late now don’t you think Anet. I get it, that there was some problem, but almost a year late is a bit too much.

New dungeons, at least one and I’m hoping for an “elite” instance akin to UW/FoW. I’m going to assume that the story will be better. I also want a 3rd heavy class and tengu playable race. Thats about it..

Bosses that have special mechanics to beat down like the fractal- or world-bosses, instead of just making them imune against almost any condition like the new pavilion-bosses.

More “Story” in the living story. I’d rather have more than just one or two rather short voiced ingame-discussions. In season 1 I sometimes felt like being told: “So here is your two minutes where we tell you what’s going on in a cutscene/talk, now get lost and do the meta-achievement!”

Some epic stuff to earn for my home-instances. As a mechanic the home-nodes are nice. However I find it a bit loveless that the great designers at Arenanet just place them with no context to the home instance at some convenient spot to mine. The sprocket-generator could be placed in some lab-equipment in the asuran home-instance or at a small workshop in the human/charr home-instance.
Something that makes the home-items feel like they actually belong to your private home, rather than just being placed there in a “here you go”-style.
I’d love an agricultural lab with small worker-golems tending to the plants in my asuran home instance or a small garden vor my human…a wall I’d guess for my Sylvary, composed of several nodes, and maybe a small explosion-crater leading to a secluded natural garden for my charr. Somewhere we could get some wood- or cooking-nodes.

Same as the last 6 months of season 1, more or less…

If we are amazingly lucky might get a new zone, 1 new utility skill for each class, 1 new elite skill for each class and some new traits.

I would not expect much really…
