What breaks stealth?
Attacking, by the said invis player.
Damaging or knocking his back wont do it.
I’ve had lots of times where i used my big ol’ bomb as an eng to peel an invis thief off of my downed team mate, only to buy him some time. Wont revel him.
I wish they implement so stealth breaks if they get hit..

Taking damage does not break stealth. Dealing damage breaks stealth. However, if the player uses an attack which is blocked or evaded, they will not break stealth. Abilities that do not deal direct damage (like Choking Gas, Caltrops, or Traps) will not break stealth, even though they apply damaging conditions. Shadowstep or Teleport abilities will not break stealth; however, they will cause the transparent stealth effect on the player to end.
There is nothing you can do to break an enemies stealth. You have to wait for it to expire or for them to break it by attacking (and then wait for the server to deign to send you the information that you’re allowed to see them again. A lengthy process that involves much paperwork in quadruplicate and requires the authorization of a federal judge.)
Somehow i thought AoE would break stealth, so ya theres nothing we can do to break their stealth/invis.
That’s because damage does break it in most games. As does proximity.
I guess that making direct damage (no conditions) break stealth/invis would be a HUGE nerf but i wish there was something else you could do to reveal someone.
There are a few things you can do to locate stealthed players, although this won’t remove the stealth buff. Channeled skills will continue to hit stealthed players if initiated prior to stealth. Many of these, like the elementalist’s Arc Lightning, will graphically track the thief’s location. Additionally, non-target-dependent skills can be used to great effect, such as the guardian’s Blinding Blade (which can additionally be used to pull the stealthed character to you, making it so easy to kill them that a caveman could do it).

Pet classes are also great, pets aren’t affected by culling issues, start pew pewing and shwing shwinging as soon as your pet starts to charge in a random direction, that is where the thief/mesmer/whatever is.
Ranger pets can’t hit kitten when the player isn’t stealthed, they don’t get any better against a stealthed opponent.
