What can I expect in the end-game?

Hi everybody, I apologize if this belongs in another category, this just seemed the most appropriate for broad generalization.

I have a level 65 thief, and while I am enjoying the game quite a bit, the level 80 cap is drawing near and I’m afraid that my sense of enjoyment is going to diminish due to lack of things to do.

Can anyone provide me a list of things to do end-game? I’m not asking because I think there is nothing to do, I’d just like to have something to look forward to. Anything is cool as long as there is something to work towards.

Thanks!

What you’re doing right now…that’s what you’ll do at 80. The whole game is end-game. The point is the journey, not the destination.

If I were you, I would continue to have kittenn and not worry about what level you are or how soon you will get there.

EDIT:
(For some reason, the word F-U-N is now censored and comes out as “kittenn”? What is that about?)

fighting the dragon lt’s clearing Orr, running dungeons, but you won’t be getting anything from them which will lead to….

spending lots of money on gems in the store to get anything of worth from the TP. that’s pretty much it at the moment until they fix DR, low drop rates, impossible to find T6 materials, fix Magic Find, make mf work with chests. etc.

A few more dungeons open up to you, and of course you have every zone in the game.

There is no change, very much unlike some other MMOs (which the game doesn’t really even start til you’re max level), which is why so many writers said GW2 has no endgame. It’s there, it’s just not any different or very deep.

World completion, jumping puzzles, go for the Dungeon Master title, try SPvP or WvW, experience and defeat the various world-boss events, occasional farming, working towards other desired achievements.

Also, start a couple of alts and experience the story from a different perspective as the personal story is quite different for each character.

Most of all though, don’t expect or attempt to do the same thing every time you log in. I’m not sure why people do this, but running the same dungeon or the same event over and over is a sure way to get bored in my opinion.
