What can we write?
E.A.D.
It is a game.
You know, the OP is beautifully written. I love the way it’s worded. The problem with beautifully written text is that it can make things seem obvious that might not be true. It’s what good writers do all the time.
For example, I don’t know that this “baby” would die without PvP. It would lose some people for sure, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it would die. In the long run, it might even attract more people who just don’t like PvP and still see this game as a PvP game. I know people who didn’t even try the game because they associate Guild Wars as a franchise with PvP.
Lines like the game will die without players, that’s true, but it implies that if you don’t follow the rest of the formula, you won’t have the players, and that’s not necessarily a given.
The reason why a game isn’t like a baby is because a game needs players and income, but it really doesn’t need anything else. Games like candy cane crush just need a lot of people addicted to candy cane crush….and nothing else.
There are plenty of games that focus on one thing or another, that run for a very long time. Sometimes, focusing on your strengths in a game, and cutting away the dead weight is good for business.

Vayne is very charitable when he talks about good writing.
I feel uncomfortable thinking of “divide” and “baby parts” in the same sentence. And the metaphor is kind of mixed, since clearly the intent of the analogy is the urge us not to focus too much on the living story or the revenue stream to the point where we neglect WvW and PvP game modes, but what are the dev team and the players doing in that baby, I’d like to know…
/offtopic
That aside I agree with the OP that the game is well-made because of many important components. I would say that each component caters to different (but overlapping) subsets of players, and I would like to join in the spirit of his post by reminding everyone that WvW, dungeons, and PvP would like some love even as we enjoy the latest installments of the LS.

They’re not there because they’d recently emptied its diaper :p
I’m gonna give a +1 for the post that compared NPE to life support…
Ultimately I think this is an awesome comparison for some aspects, but part of the problem is that the head (devs) doesn’t communicate with the (milk…. No offense but the community really should be the heart not milk)
Otherwise OP gets +10 for a unique forum post to brighten a dull morning on the forums.

To show that this game is great and needs the same care as a newborn baby.
Lets divide the game in parts, baby parts.
Stomach: it’s the revenue that feeds it.
Head: Its the dev team that guids it
Legs and arms : It’s the living story. it needs to grow, but as of now the team can’t use it to support the weight of the entire body.
Clothes: Its the pvp and WvW gamemodes. Without them the baby will die a slow death.
Milk: It’s the players that make the game for what it is, without this the baby will die.If you focus on one aspect of care for the baby , the baby will die regardless of how beautiful the baby is.
same goes for this game.
I don’t know how to explain it more clearly.
Except may be by saying “please don’t let the baby die, it’s beautiful and i am sure it will grow up to become president of the world someday”
Stomach: Cash shop & expansion
Head: We need a new visionary, someone fresh and new to take lead.
Legs and arms : It’s the living story, it needs to grow. Stick with the personal part of LS, stop with everything that follows (events, maps, farming, & other wasted resources.)
Clothes: Its the pvp and WvW gamemodes. Throw some focus on WvW, a unique game mode that plenty non GW fan bought this game for.
Milk: Back to the head, LS is not that favored or good (outside of the personal part of it), the LS vision/focus just needs to move on to something better.
