Been running out of things to do in-game, so wondering what it is you guys do/goals maybe could bounce ideas off eachother on stuff to accomplish in-game… Thanks!

Seriously – lots of opinions will come through but all of them mean nothing if the above isn’t covered.

I tend to pop on just to talk with friends, when I’m bored. Occassionally they’ll have something to do. If not, we just talk. MMOs are essentially glorified chat rooms.

I like to get drunk and talk kitten in guild chat about my mate as we screw around. As Bunny said, basically it’s a glorified chat room

ah well i only started doing fractals more frequently after the patch which allows re-connection. tried out fractals during the initial launch but was not impressed by the inability to reconnect.

i also do cof path 1 and path 2 speed runs with guild members if they are organizing.

armor repair fees are not cheap haha.

With my guild we do T3 Guild Bounties during the weekends and T1 during the week sometimes. We have Fractal Fridays. During a typical game play session it’s a mix between WvW, AC, and temple runs. Sometimes I sPvP. This has been my routine the past month.

The month before that I was mostly running dungeons (other than AC), temples, jump puzzles, and leveling alts.

Oh and somehow I end up magically finishing my daily.

I log in to check if my friend is online because he doesent use skype, and his phone broke apparently.

Eeeeerm thats pretty much it.

Dailies mostly. Maybe a CoF run.

Do pve daily if possible in combination with farming some chests (dragon chests, low level world boss chests, orrian temple events).
My guild is very active, too. There are people running fractals or dungeons every day, so i join a group and do something.
I have only 2 level 80 chars, so i am currently leveling up my thief (lvl 40), my guardian (level 22) and my mesmer (lvl 30). The only character that is equipped perfectly is my main. So my second level 80 character needs an armor that looks the way i want it to (its a female charr ranger, i really like the inquest dungeon armor here, so i try to get enough knowledge crystal tokens).
I have so many goals i want to achieve currently… some of them are really far away:
- bring 3 chars up to level 80
- get about 1000 knowledge crystals from the inquest dungeon
- get additional 390 shards of zhaitan tokens
- get 4 stacks of fractal relics and also some condensed mist essence (finally have my rings, so now i need the back item.)
- get an additional amout of 250 WvW tokens (need 500 and i want to get them only by killing players)
- get enough gold to buy the T2 Sylvari Armor Set for my mes
- get enough gold to buy the T3 Human Armor Set for my thief
- get enough gold to buy the T3 Norn Armor Set for my guardian
- get additional 100 ectos and obsi shards
- finally get the precursor to craft the Bifrost
- get another 50 unidentified dyes

- complete my dungeon master title (have only story from AC, CM and Arah.) with my guild.

WvW, PvE Daily, Farm Behemoth, Fractals, Cof, Level Alt, More WvW.

I either hop in and do some sPVP or world PVE for the respective daily then join guild on WWW. Which activity I do really depends on which character I feel like playing on a given day.

What am i doing in the game?

Nothing at the moment. I’ve reached level 80, and have nice gear, and a good amount of gold. There is nothing available for me that i want to use the gold for. But i’m hoping they will add more items to the game for me to play for.

I grind for legendary. If I wasn’t grinding for legendary? I would probably have very little to do.

I log in and camp the world events because they give the best loot output for little effort. This is so I can collect ectos for legendary.

-If guildies are online and want to do something, I will run some specific dungeons or fractals for gear progression. It’s mostly for cash and ectos though for my legendary.

-If there aren’t enough guildies on or most leave after the dungeon runs are done, I go farm events for guild influence to get guild missions going for ascended earrings. The cash and karma from this goes towards my legendary.

After I’ve done all the world bosses I’m willing to do and all the guildies leave me alone and I’ve done all the jumping puzzles I’m willing to do for their daily chests I solo grind mats for my legendary.

I started playing this game because I liked the idea of WvW. I find WvW mildly fun, but there is no point to it. Gaining points for your realm does you absolutely nothing. Bonuses for the PvE players on your server who did not at all help in earning them do not count. “Bragging rights” or what usually just amounts to closed threads due to flaming only counts for so much, it suffers a large amount of burnout.

Dungeons are nice the first one or two times you do them with friends, after that none of them want to do them once they get that gear piece or just give up grinding it.

SPvP I hate, and it doesn’t get me anything I can use in any other part of the game so I want nothing to do with it ever.

I do 1-3 fotm dailies, kill a couple of boring and totally braindead dragons, that’s it sadly nothing else to do.

Week evenings:
PvE daily
try to do the 3 dragon events
harvest high level mats in FS, ML, CS
guild chat

The rest depends on how much time I have left after the above, so can be a combination of any of the following:
farm earth ele’s in ML or sparks in CS if the temples are clear
run the pent/shelter events
help out any guildies with SP’s, and the like
temple or dungeon or other meta events

Weekends:
just more of the above

A few days ago I discovered WvWvW is fun. My level 80 warrior is great for zergs. My level 80 ele is great for holding keeps, my level 80 engineer is good at jumping puzzles (rifle jump). I am currently leveling a thief to 80.

I generally think up a new build I want to try, or which alt I want to lvl during the day; and than wvw from when I Get home until I remember…

I have two 80s and I feel no shortage of things to do. Here are some things that I do and enjoy:

There are several things I’m currently working on.
1. Exploration – not in the sense of achievement, but looking for lore tidbits.
2. Achievements. Currently working on full world completion, crafting, and dungeon master.
3. Leveling alts – it’s nice to go back and see the game again, finding new things
4. Crafting.
5. Dungeons.
6. Events
7. Gathering.

I have two level 80’s. and only play an 1 – 2 hours mon-friday and maybe 3 – 4 hours saturday and sunday. my game play is:
1 Do daily, that can take 20 – 60 minutes depending on which of the options I pick.
2. Explore,
3. Events
4. Gather
5. Craft
6. Personal Story line on my alts
7. Dungeon runs if I can on weekends
8. Avoid Fractal, WvWvW and sPvP.

nothing… lost interest. But forum is so funny!

Leveling 7 different characters (so far, only two are 80). Trying to decide which is my favorite.

PvE dailies, exploration, random events as I run into them, gathering, crafting etc.

So far I’ve not done any WvW, dungeons, sPvP, nor joined a guild. Haven’t done any crafting about about 275. I’m only at about 45% world completion, partly because I haven’t decided which character I want to do it with.

i have most of my fun in wvw, whether solo or with the guild. when i don’t feel like wvw, i hit a dungeon for extra money. i have to remind myself more gold is never a bad thing. especially since i’m altoholic, so i always have some new character to work on. lately, leveling alts is all i do. otherwise, wvw and dungeons.

I enjoy the new YOLO (You Only Loot Once[per day per toon]) Circuit with the Guild. We log in as soon after Server Day begins as we can, party up into groups, and go World Event Hunting. We kibitz about the daily, hang in TS, and by the time we’ve killed the 7 World Chests on the main land? We’ve had a good time. I’ve been thinking of adding Temple of Zephyrs to the rotation so we can get one more chest.
Now if the timers are goofy long until the next chest? We’ll pop off a fast dungeon and then surface just in time to rock and roll for some more loot. So on a good night between 5-9ish server time we’ll knock out 6-7 World Events, a dungeon, the daily for everyone involved, and had a pretty good time hanging out. Then the guildies who have to work go to bed and tell us “See ya tomorow!”
Then the rest of my time is spent assisting people, Taxi Service for JPs, doing the YOLO on my other 80, stepping into WvW to run with the zergs (Wheee), and sitting in LA talking with the Map Chat. I actually enjoy LA Map Chat but I’m just that kind of person.
And when all that fails I take a moment out to chat with a random member on the Roster so I can touch base with how things are going in our Alliance. All in all? A pretty involved day in Tyria.

Taking a break – got my second character to level 80 – decked it out in gear and played for a few days and realized I wasn’t having much fun, and was tired of leveling alts through the same zones again. So I am going to take some time off.

One thing I love about the game, outside of missing out on laurels I don’t feel I need to log on everyday and that I can take time off from playing.
