What do you dont like about gw2
I would like to Dye my weapons _
Personal Story after Clawwwrrr Island, but before Orr.
Home instances mean nothing worthwhile at the moment
The Devs having this delusion that WvWvW is a combination of PvE and PvP.
Certain mini games, like bar brawl, are listed as achievements but we don’t have such games available.
Having no auto decline for guild invites
RNG, oh dear Alchemy that blasted RNG for lion boxes and the blasted precursors
Having a storyline where we build up this Pact, but once Big Z is toppled we get fricking nothing for the Pact afterwards.
First of all I love the details in this game.. And small gimmick!! Amazing scenery as well.
Back to topic
Well I do not like how dead the whole world is.. I mean many details and sych a great scenery, but sooo little interactions.. More like going to a gallery.
Let us us tables and chairs.. Maybe eat food on the table. Have npcs walk a bit more around (they do but more).
I would like to see more next gen in it with a world living on its own (RDR like I guess).
Lack of mount and dull minis. I do bot know why I feel the urge to have a mount.. But well just think it could be great. Dull minis.. Few animations if any, look to WoW for once they made something good. And no humanoid minis xD
No trinity.. Can’t believe that I actually miss being a healer xD but I do, not accepted the no trinity-aspect yet (I am a bit old school).
Armour restriction.. Never understood this one.. Maybe make affinity such as you recieved bonus stats for wearing your professions armour
Type but in fct could use every single piece (great for traits allowing more affinity and for cometic).
Lack of 1200 range on thieves.
Lack of mobility and weak spirit weapons on guardians
Lack of elemental focus on elementalist. Jack-of-all-elements-master of none, even with a grant master trait… Let us become specialists if that what we want to.
More torment for necroes out of DS.
Engineers visible back item all the time. Or legendary hobosack :b
Weapon bound to skills.. I kinda in a love hate relationship to this one.
Let all profs be able to weaponswap.
Make special items acc-bound those from older events.
.. Turning into suggestions instead :0
I hate that you have to “discover” weapon skills.. Makes bo sense since you do not progress in it like TES.. And feel a bit the same with skill points.. the slots are lcl restricted any how.
If i was the lead dev i would re design the loot/incentives system completely. Thats the main thing i dislike about this game and the main thing that keeps GW2 from being the absolute top dog MMO it could be.
And no im not asking for a gated gear treadmill. Instead more of a “direct reward” system where (jumping) puzzles, instances and worldbosses give usefull rewards instead of vendor trash in 99% of the cases.
1. Boring story (both personal and living).
2. Childish, cartoonish world, full of rainbows, sunshines and RL reference-jokes.
3. Weak, pathethic bad guys, moustache-twirling villains, bad guys can’t even win a single fight.
4. This game should be called My Little Guild Wars 2: Teamwork Is Magic.
5. Limiting player characters with weapon-specific skills because they have some weird dream of this game becoming LoL 2.0, generally sucking any fun out of the game because they want to be “e-sport quality”.
-Some pve BOSS (dragon mechanics).
-How Living story content is being worked/treated.
-The mobs and player invunerability due diferent hights mobs should persue player until out of sight.
-Trait system (theres already info that Anet will release more traits and skills wich is very very good).
- Visual variety, add more basic skins to drops or via manifacture.
-Damage take vs damage absorb, some classes no mater how much armor target have skills they wil always kill target w/o effort, this in my opinion lead to a very disguting fight system
- Camera.
- No real way of making money except dungeons. And still no LFG tool.
- New characters boring to train. There is no real reason to explore map second time. Why not make at least points of interest and vistas account wide?
- Trading kinda boring. You always see minimum price and there is no way to sell items higher. I remember good old days of Runescape and it’s glorious trading.
- Since there is no competition in getting of resources, loot and such things, market is flooded with items for very low prices.
- Crafting somehow feels useless. Yes, you can make some exotics for sell, you need crafting for legendaries. But that’s all. You can get everything from TP very cheap, and only crafting purpose is for fast training alt characters.
- Underwater combat is boring and really undone. And still there is too much underwater missions.
- Reward-difficulty in many cases really crappy. No reason to kill veterans or champions (after patch no reason for killing veterans).
- sPvP have no input in other, bigger part of the game. It’s just strange to see such thing in MMO.
- Personal story just crappy. Yeah, it’s have some positive missions, but overall it’s even not feel epic or fun because of difficulty. Final boss fight just very bad design.
- There is not that much new players, and some servers feels very empty. Why no trials at least for week, for starting location?
Ascended gear
Soulbound gear
The players who say they hate RNG but would quit the game one day after they got every thing.
Guild : OBEY (The Legacy) I call it Obay , TLC (WvW) , UNIV (other)
Server : FA
I don’t like how most of the zones are rectangles.
Oh yeah, I came from WoW where the transitions to different maps was really smooth, then when I took a look at the map in GW2 I was horrified.

Yup i played wow aswell (for about 7 years on and off).
The transition from one of wows shallow maps to the other might be smooth. But what are you transitioning in to? People and content deprived zones with little to no diversity.

4. This game should be called My Little Guild Wars 2: Teamwork Is Magic.
You mean, My Little Guild Wars 2: Play alone and hope for RNG.
NerfWars2, nuff said
So any MMO can have a Nerf pun then.

How dare you, sir!
1. Gated content
2. Diminishing Returns
3. Over-filled loot tables
4. RNG Boxes
5. Contradictory mechanics
6. “Play your way” facade
7. Shallow skills/trait system
8. Class favoritism
9. Failure of a DoT system
10. Constant nerfs.
- Difficult and expensive to change character build
- Performance issues in WvW and big towns
- Living story related loot everywhere makes no sense and takes space
- Loots bags dropping on ground instead of being placed in player’s inventory straight away. Without autoloot option it’s actually that you move your character on top of the loot, then press F, then get the pop-up of items, then select the items. Who actually uses horribly cumbersome system like this?!
- Unnecessary character-bound restrictions everywhere
minigames, i hate them.
if i had to bring something from another game is the feeling of immersion you can have in lotro. this is very far from that.
also npc should walk and do something instead of standing in the same place for ever
Join the Rainbow Pride
Can’t think of anything I don’t like about the game. I can tell you what I do like about the game, then again, this isn’t the thread for that.
I do not like how ‘spammy’ or ‘zergy’ the PvP combat is.(although I realize it is probably too late to be changed).
Essentially, PvP is often about amassing a critical mass of players and rolling over everything, spamming abilities.
You don’t have to worry about accidentally hitting your allies, you can run through people, there is no disadvantage to having a large group(other than FPS issues).
There’s simply too many AoE abilities that can be so trivially thrown around so carelessly.
I kind’a like how Chivalry: Medieval Warfare did it. Mindlessly swinging a huge greatsword when standing next to allies should be a risky move xD(although it’s a different game entirely)
-White trash
-Blue trash
-Green trash
-Yellow toilet food
Everyone and their mother has an exotic set, why do you even bother dropping masterwork/blues/whites when no one ever uses, needs, or wants them?
Garbage at every profession 2015
If i wasn’t able to use the combat action mod, i don’t think i could continue playing. Constantly having to hold the right mouse button. Errghh! Either make the game a full on tab target or actual action, why half and half?
Personal story started off really interesting but from Claw Island it just got so tedious and uninspiring, also the NPC’s that help you are not helpful. My GW1 companions would of been much more helpful.
- living story or something
- PvE patches
- armors
- weapons
- thiefs
- can’t go other servers and gank players
- achievement points
- sPvE
- dailys
- monthly
- aoe cap
- skill lag
- transmute stones
- RNG
Seafarer’s Rest EotM grinch
- DEs/hearts are just cleverly disguised fetch, kill x amount of enemies or escort quests. I kinda want something like Runescape’s quest system…most quests gated behind grind but still. Doing quests unlock previously restricted areas and grants the player items/abilities that no one else has. Now that’s meaningful progression.
- Achievements turning into a task list for living story.
- The clunky camera and limited fov. Seriously, my camera is pointed at the ground 90% of the time. If I try to look up at the sky I get a nice view of my characters’ behinds.
- Balancing pve around pvp. Just…no.
- No way to dye weapons.
- Can’t save traits or dye combos.
- Temporary festivals.
- Vets and champ mobs are just giant hp pinatas.
- Loot table filled with too many junk items. I don’t need anymore porous bones tyvm…
- My mesmer is so slow =(
Why should I watch a GW2 tournament? The game is broken and boring to watch. When I feel like watching competitive gaming I tune in to SC2’s streamed tournaments or the Dota 2 International. GW2 is just a pathetic joke in terms of its pro scene (doesn’t exist).
i watched for like 15 minutes and for the duration was just laughing how poor and boring it was. All there was is aoe spam with pets running around. It was absolutely pathetic and anet should just stop even trying to push this to esports. Even if they add gvg, its still gonna be aoe fest because this game has no strategy involved. There’s not “shut their monk while i burst their ele”, here its “spam aoe /win”. Its pretty sad lol and for those who’ve missed it, you didn’t miss anything
Balancing by spvp.
Lack of new content to play.
Very limiting builds and traits (expensive as well).
Gear treadmill.
Too many gold sinks.
RNG loot tables.

Players that focus on the faults of a game. No offence.
Players that focus on the faults of a game. No offence.
I wouldn’t focus on them so much if the faults didn’t outnumber the good things about this game. As it stands, 65% of this game is bad, the other percentage could be considered good.
so true.Couldnt agree more. They need to change the collect x amount of stuff for new shiny things. I think that is their way of generating content.
Prices of precursor weapons and long way to legendary weapon. Legendary is not skill bound, is only time bound….
BUT, I still like GW2 ;-)

I agree, wish they would stop pushing this game to be an esport because it will never be. Happy to shoo away Guild Wars which had the best PvP and yet they release this cluster**** of a mess. Sorry but no. Hah.
Oh and lets not forget that at anet HQ they have their own favorite professions which is so blatantly obvious from constant nerfs to one proffesion to constant buffs to another.
What I don’t like:
- Personal story basically the same after claw island. I still haven’t finished it, but advancing it only on my main, all my other alts stop as soon as they get to claw island. Personally I feel that some pieces (like Claw Island) should be the same for everyone, but there should be a lot more branching in the rest of it. It’s a big war effort, there should be more different things to do.
- No in-game LFG tool. I know of the website, but I like to play full screen, find it a little awkward to have to keep alt-tabbing or using the android one on my cell phone.
- Only one style of sPVP. Though the mini-games are getting a little better in this regard, I’d like to see an aspect arena style CTF maps added to sPvP, for example.
- PvP balancing affecting PvE. I’d think it would be much easier to balance if they separated how skills worked in sPvP and PvE.
wrapped up in some crazy ritualist hoo-ha from Cantha.
A real grab bag of ‘you can’t hurt me. They’re called Guardians.
Dislike:
-Living Story
-More Minigames added than actual content
-Lack of real-world threat
-Zerker Elitists
-Empty mid-high level zones
-Events that respawn after a few minutes (ex. troll in queensdale). And didnt Ree in the almighty manifesto say something that this should not happen?
-Lack of added zones
-Lack of meaningful substantial content
-Lack of solo-duo mini dungeons
Support:
-solo/mini dungeons
-more zones, and DEs
-more personal story
-more abilities and skills
-less mini games
-less living story

Totally agree with everything that you’ve said bro.
What I don’t like:
- event start, zerg waiting or rushing there, what’s there to kill is killed in less than a minuet, event stop. Now we got mass of players just jump from point to point, because there’s nothing to do.
- updates are fun, deliver new things but temporary. I’ve seen NOT A ONE THING that enhanced world like new skills to mobs, more diverse mobs, more events, new npcs to talk to, new hearts. Updates guide us to one location where zerg gather who farm new temporary currency which is useless after ~two weeks.
- Overall I think that this game needed from the very beginnig more fundamental additions, not experiments and builds of short meaningless stories which are shallow and tiny in scale in comparision to main story. We needed things to enhance guild life, party playing, not just ways to gather zergs in places to farm new tokes. We wanted quality changes, not fillers.
- TPvP with only one game type and just no link of TPvP with PvE or WvW. I admire ppl who beat TPvP from the very beginnig and bear with this stagnant content.
- WvW haven’t improved at all IMHO. Changes are so minimal and don’t change in any way style of playing. Here I also bow to any player who plays it constantly from the beginning. Man, ppl are tough
Of course I could point many other smaller things, which in my opinion could be better but they are not so important. My main concern is that the game don’t feel as being developed. Feeling is more as it’s flashing to lure more players who want to dress their toons.
I really could pay monthly fee just to get major updates which give my main and future characters more to do, more to achieve, more to accomplish and more to face againts in new exciting ways.
Besides that, I love GW2
