Q:

Hey, I’ve been 80 for a while now, and sadly I’m actually finding it hard to stay on guild wars for anything other than PvP and WvW. It may be because none of my friends are 80 yet, but I personally love PvE, and Guild Wars 2 just doesn’t seem to cut it for PvE.

So I was wondering what do you guys do for fun/loot/gear/gold after 80?

100% the map, jumping puzzles, keg brawl, helping with events in orr getting karma to buy new armor and weapons, leveling crafting disciplines, gathering and farming, completing all dungeons and explorable modes at least once.

You could always create another character. You were given 5 characters slots with this game for a reason. Also, there is map exploration, helping other people, dungeon runs.

When I hit 80 I had barely seen 50 % of the maps, so there is a lot to do still. The scaling mechanics make it possible to join events on all maps. There is WvW too, which is great fun, crafting, farming for crafting and finally actually getting the equipment worthy of lvl 80 – and I am not even speaking of legendary sets. Starting a new character was allready mentioned. The game is very rich. I think your point is less “what to do” but how to progress in terms of power – probably not much to do in these terms if you allready have the legendary equipment you like (which I doubt at this point).

You may have already done this, but I’m still working on getting my exotics and finishing my crafting to 400.

Once that’s done, I’ll work on 100% world completion and WvW. If I ever get tired of doing things at 80, I have 4 other characters.

I finally got my Ghastly Greatsword, it’s so beautiful. Now I just need to get Human culture armour Tier 3 which costs 119 gold total.

There is always something to aim for.

And then you need an exotic armor and transmutation stones…because that frickin thing isn’t even max.

Seriously you have like 4 options though:
a) Grind for gear (Dungeons, Legendaries)
b) Play WvW
c) Complete the map (you’ll need about 3 days for that…)
d) Play SPvP

So if you’re not into the dungeon armors and don’t want to spend hundreds of hours building a legendary – goodbye PvE Endgame.

Maxing crafting professions post lvl 80 is pointless unless you want
to supply yourself with crafted exotics – you don’t really benefit from the XP
and you don’t really make any money with it.

Personally I recommend WvW and creating new characters.

First thing I did was get 100% world completion.

Then it’s farming for my exotic set(s) with WvW and alts.
