Sell on TP? Merchant? Salvage?

Which one depending on the rarity? Salvage rares and sell greens to merchant?

white salvage….
blue salvage especially cloth
green salvage especially cloth (at 240% MF…)
yellow check tp , sell if worth more then 1 ecto else salvage or forge
orange check tp , if below 2 ecto salvage or forge else vendor
pink… no clue yet, but likely if another useless ring from fotm: salvage

white/blue/green > salvage
gold/exo armor > salvage
gold/exo weapon > forge
ascend chest > wait for HoT ascend-salvage kit (not hard to be full ascend allready)

What about the runes and sigils from the salvaged items?

Very similar to Pax.

Anything under rare quality gets salvaged straight away with basic salvage kits or salvage-o-matic. Any masterwork runes get merched.

Rare armour gets salvaged all of the time as they’re never usually worth over the price of 1 ecto.

Rare weapons get salvaged most of the time, but might get put on the TP if the price is like 40s+ (daggers, gs, staffs and swords always go on the TP, others might also if they are a particularly rare/good-looking skin). Rare sigils and runes go onto the TP.

Exotics get their upgrade checked and will get salvaged if their price is less than about 90s or if their upgrade is profitable (I always use BL salvage kits for exotics). The exotic upgrade gets put on the TP. I have a mental list of the most expensive runes and sigils, so for me it often doesn’t need to be checked at the TP and I’ll go straight to salvaging if I see a juicy upgrade.

Ascended rings go to my ring mule, who is hoarding until the day ascended salvaging arrives.

Ascended weapon boxes get opened to what I desperately need (which isn’t often). Now I’m just working down the list of the most expensive weapons to craft, and then put them through the MF several times to unlock each colour variation.

Ascended armour boxes are being hoarded or opened depending on type, with the idea that eventually I’ll have enough to complete ascended accoutrement (an achievement). Part-specific chests get opened, prioritising light-armour first. Stat-specific chests are left for now with the intention of using them to fill in the gaps or unlock the most expensive pieces (chest, legs).

It depends. I check how much they are selling for on the TP. If the blues are selling for 2x or more than what I can get from a merch then I will sell. If not then I salvage the blues.
For the green and higher it all depends on how many I have. (You end up with lots of greens and gold from doing SW) First I will see how much the greens are going for on the TP, again 2x or more I may sell there. If not then I will start doing the mystic forge. I usually end up with some golds from the all the greens.
For the golds it all depends on what I feel like doing. Either salvage for materials/ectos or selling on the TP or doing the mystic forge to see about getting an exotic.
Exotics are about the same as golds. I may sell on the TP or salvage, all depends on what I feel like at the time I have them.

white – green → salavage (copper-salvage-o or basic)
rare → if below 40 silver salvage, else tp (the value I check depends on ecto price)
exotic → usually if below 1g salavge or forge. else TP unless it’s a skin I want, but even here I usually don’t go beyond 3g
