What do you have that you're proud of?
I’m proud of my guardian, Biyx. I’ve been roleplaying with her for almost a year now (since I made her, pretty much!) and she’s grown as a character so much that it’s almost like she’s alive. It’s something I’ve never been able to do with any character I’ve made, and I always get a big smile when I log in as her.
In terms of items or meta achievements, I was pretty proud of getting Been there. Done that. a while ago. Took me quite some time getting it (before the removal of WvW from map completion). As for items, my Book of Secrets is my proudest one thus far. My first ascended item I’ve ever made!

I’m proud of my liver.
It has allowed me to out-drink some of my friends and remember their drunken shenanigans.

I lol’d.
I’ve played off and on since beta, but when I do play I usually play in spvp. Thus, I never really spent enough time in PvE to save up a lot of gold for legendaries and other prestigious things. However, I do have a few things I’m proud of.
1) Storm Wizard’s Greatsword – This is the yellow version of the super adventure box skins. You could only get it from completing tribulation mode on world 2 of SAB. I hold this skin highly as almost no one in the game actually has a tribulation mode skin, so it is one of the most rare skins in the game. It also shows a level of skill and mastery of the game for getting it.
I would have had more of these skins, but I was on vacation when the patch landed. I got back the last day of the patch, and had under 5 hours to get the skin. I ended up staying awake all night long trying to get it. Additionally, I had a really bad computer at the time, and it would overheat easily. At the end of the last zone, right before the final boss, my computer started overheating.
When my computer overheated, pressing 2 skills at the same time would cause gw2 to minimize. None of my hotkeys for my skills worked, and I couldn’t strafe right for whatever reason. I completed the end of the last zone of world 2 and the final boss under those conditions. Upon beating the final boss, with under an hour before the patch ended, I had never felt so invested into the game as I had then. I consider that skin as a trophy of one of the hardest challenges I have ever done, especially considering I had a major handicap to overcome.
2) Liadri mini – Another skill based achievement, you could only get this mini from beating the final boss of the Queen’s Gauntlet, Liadri. She was notorious for being one of, if not the, hardest fight(s) in the game. I beat Liadri on my fourth try during the first Queen’s Jubilee.
The value of the mini somewhat went down as during the second Jubilee people were able to cheese out the fight with a life-stealing necro build, and didn’t have to actually complete the fight under the harsh second phase. Nonetheless, it is still a trophy of my mastery of the game.
3) Incinerator – Playing the game since beta, I was able to scavenge up enough gold to buy spark when it was around 500 gold. From doing map completion on 3 characters, and being a horrible hoarder, I was able to create my gift of might and magic with little investment.
4) Selfless and Thoughtless Potions – During the attack of Lions Arch, you could collect Found Heirlooms from piles of rubble. You could buy a Potion for 250 Heirlooms. However, you could only get an heirloom from a pile of rubble once per 24 hours. These potions give you a halo and devil horns respectively. Again, not many people have these items because of the amount of time and dedication required to farm up 250 Heirlooms. I am proud of these items because I invested the time to get 500 heirlooms, to get 1 of each potion. Plus they look really cool.

The PvP games where one of my teammates leaves us to a 4v5 but we still win! I’ve had a few and its extra satisfying knowing that the selfish AKitten didn’t get to enjoy the win. Especially when he thinks that he is better then the whole team lol good times.
All legendaries collected.
2368 skins unlocked in the wardrobe.
Perma bank, merchant, tp, hair stylist.
Light Up the Darkness achievement.
Completing Agent of Entropy 25,200 times.
Proud? I’m pleased to have some neat things, including meta-event rewards from LS episodes long gone. I’m an avowed pack rat, after all, with quite a bit of Skritt in me.
But to be proud I’ll look to the RP I’ve woven with my guildmates in the past 3 years (we started pre-beta via forum RP). I have a whole stable of alts with their own personalities, histories, and ongoing tales. I’ve written short stories and poems, I’ve even done some art though it’s horribly done compared to what I could do twenty years ago. All you artists out there, don’t stop drawing, your hands will forget how >< I’ve made friends and met them RL, I’ve helped new players, I’ve even helped veterans who were in despair at the recent LS achieves. I’ve contributed constructively to CDI’s. Back in the first Beta Weekend I convened a gathering of RPers to test what the game offered in RP and from the feedback we gave to ANet we got custom emotes and limited “audible” range of /say and /em implemented by the second Beta Weekend.
Those are things that give me pride.
What do you have that you’re proud of?

As do I. Like I said, most of my gold came from creating precursors and selling them. So the only legendary I actually CRAFTED was Sunrise and The dreamer. Everything else was bought.
I’m proud of my “Avenger of the Dispossessed” title.
“Been There. Done That” as well. It took me ages to get, and I got it a few months before the announcement that PvP maps would no longer be required.
I’m proud of Tarnished Coast.
I’m proud of jumping Coddler’s Cove, finally.
I’m proud of an extensive array of RP characters, but particularly of Pouncy Silverkit.
I’m proud that I’m on dulfy’s site in one of the galleries.
I’m proud of my modest collection of skins.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
Liadri mini and Blazing Light title. I busted my kitten trying to beat her and learned a LOT of things about my class and my own abilities while doing so. It’s my most prized virtual possession now.
I like my Infinite Light. Took 8 months to make it and every Spark in Orr trembles in terror when I walk past…
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

Most proud of: My GWAMM title ( I went back, bought EOTN, and did basically the entire title in 2 months)

That’s insanely impressive.
Five amazing and strong characters that have been through Hell and back farming grinding dungeoning and leveling. Rezzing and being rezzed, finding loot and ultimately being rewarded with their true look despite the wardrobe being implemented. Especially my thief, the pioneer of my characters that I’ve had since near launch.
My collection of fractal swords. ._.
My PC, decent internet and enough free time so I can play and enjoy the game.
Anyway to answer the topic, not much even after what, coming up for 3 years now – but then I tend to do activities that don’t bring in too much gold (I cba to farm silverwastes for example). But then I’ve spent all my gold from the last few months working up towards a legendary.
I suppose Mawdrey, Light of Dwayna, enough ascended trinkets and weapons for a variety of builds, and some nice skins and rare dyes for the wardrobe. Nice and simple.

How? Even if you had all the platinum in the world and didn’t have a job, that’s crazy!
Well, I don’t have fancy items and stuff but I am proud of the fact that I still have tons of fun in this game…

Ssshhhh… no… I don’t need to be made aware of these things…..
I actually purposely didnt keep track of the gold because I knew I would get more discouraged. I got a decent amount back from the loot inside, including two of the necklaces. Unfortunately for me, I collect wolf stuff in this game and when I saw that mini upon returning to the game during wintersday (haha, nope, didnt even do it during halloween with bags I earned myself) I just thought to myself, “well kitten me, this is gonna be rough.”
“Walk with the pack. In the eyes of Wolf, we are all brothers and sisters.”
Finishing the ambrite weapons collection and my karmic converter. But my most prized possession in game is the permanent hair stylist contract, given to me by a friend for my birthday.

kudzu it took me almost 2 years to make it and it was worth the effort.
also my dolyak mini. I love him.
I’m also proud to be friends with all the cool people I’ve met along the way.
and you guys may laugh, but i’m proud to be max level. this is the only mmo where i’ve done that and it was extremely satisfying
also my ranger. I worked hard and spent a decent amount of time and money to make her pretty and i’m really happy with it ^^
Though I have five lengendary weapons (and I’m sitting on two precursors) and plenty of other in game crap, what I’m really proud of is the guild. Not all the same faces from when we formed more than 3 years ago, but many of us are still here and we’ve grown substantially.
I think keeping a guild together for that long is probably harder than anything else I’ve done in the game.
Made over 100 precursors in the Mystic Forge
I really don’t know whether to believe this or not. lol But I lean toward skepticism.
C
Made over 100 precursors in the Mystic Forge, documenting many of them. (How I afford most my items)I really don’t know whether to believe this or not. lol But I lean toward skepticism.
Most people are rather skeptic when I tell them. No one really believes me till they’re in a guild with me. Of course my IRL friends know as well and would vouch for me. But honestly, I don’t care if people believe it or not. I can tell you though, the average amount of gold it takes for me to get something like Spark or Dusk is 500-700g USUALLY. It varies. I’ve gone 3000g without anything, I’ve also gotten 2 sparks back to back and a Dusk and Dawn within the same 20g of greatswords.
I cannot honestly say that there is anything (or much of anything) in the game that I consider worth being proud of. Titles and rewards are, for the most part, oriented toward time spent rather than skill in overcoming difficulty. For me this deprives them of any degree of prestige.
It’s not something i “have” but i am really proud that i could keep cool after having seen the Vinewrath fail in two maps in a row because people did not grasp the concept of reflecting the thrasher.
Other than that, there is nothing in GW2 that you could be proud of having which is a shame.
Mah frands! The reason why i keep playing daily!
This.
Remember, remember, 15th of November
Things that I am proud of on my account:

Freedom I received for quitting this game long ago. Something I am really proud of.
Yes you still come to post on the forums . ..
ive come a long way in pvp. i used to get destroyed with faceroll builds like warrior hambow and ranger. but after over a year im able to kick bumps with difficult builds like mesmer lockdown and celestial engi. i also got my champion illusionist title few months ago.
Probably top of the list for me would be my mini Liadri. I found that fight incredibly hard, so beating her and getting the mini was a huge achievement for me.
I’d include my legendary too. It wasn’t actually hard to get, just took a long time and the discipline to put all my gold and other resources towards that instead of other things I wanted, but it’s still something I’m very pleased I’ve done.
I can’t decide if I should include my mini llama or not. I did win it during the Tournament of Legends 2, but then we won our first match because the other side didn’t turn up, and got annihilated in the next round so I’m not sure it’s much of an achievement.
It’s not a thing, but I’d also include completing all the jumping puzzles. I really enjoy them, but I’m not really that good at them, so completing them always feels good.
Oh, and the memory of the time I was fighting the Mordrem Troll during the Breach, we were really struggling and a lot of people kept going down (and not using the WP) and it came down to me using my pet to rally myself, getting 1 other person up and the two of us finishing the boss off. Then someone said “Thank god for rangers!” in chat.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
