What do you keep in your inventory?
I keep my emp frag eater, my bloodstone eater, 2 BLSK’s, 2 Mystic kits, 4 basic salvage kits, zephyrite keys, geodes, and usually some luck at the top of my inventory.
At the bottom of my inventory I have: Combat boosters, currency boosters, revive orbs, bank access express, TP express, vendor express, Quaggan transform, skritt transform, extra weapon sets, Bandit crests, bandit keys, extractors, repair canisters, and a few things I am forgetting atm…
Overall my “empty” inventory is at 48/150.
where to start…
I have a lot of living story stuff (cant even begin to list all that stuff), copper salvage o matic, Mystic Salvage Kit (for rares), BLSK (for exotics), various foods that i need to eat or get rid of, halloween boosters/tool things (not sure what to call them), old gear that i cant sell/salvage/Mystic forge, Mordrem parts (ill trade them in eventually), anything that can stack that i dont have space for in the bank but commonly recieve(Tomes of Knowledge, Bandit Crests, Geodes, silky sand) likely more that i cant think of
interestingly enough, i seem to have more space than i used to.
Gates Of Madness
Jewelcrafting to 500!
Generally
*2nd armor set,
*additional weapons soulbound to character,
*2nd set of jewels,
*dungeon food,
*utility food, food,
*my salvage o matic(s),
*mystic salvage kit.
*1 or 2 fun items (be it a kite, balloon, instrument whatever. depending on the character)
Sometimes
*wvw siege ( run often as 2nd or 3rd in command, always carry emergency suply, wouldn’t be the first time commander needs X and doens’t have it.
*revive orbs/repair cannisters, when doing hard conetent can take some of the 60-70 in my bank….
Thing I do not carry
*MF Food / boosters, it is in my bank; If I want to farm I’ll take the stacks and all
*Other boosters, there really really needs to be a reason why I’d take one. I still have 20-40 boosters of most kinds lying aaround.
*Other utility foods (primers, and so on.)
*ascended rings/trinkets not fitting on 1st or second armor
*3rd armor, If I notice I have 3 armors I check why, and delete/salvage the one least usefull.
*3rd jewelry, If I notice I have 3 sets of jewelry I check why, and salvage/store in bank
I do have 146 slots on most (14/15) characters, some 148 or 150. Generally lowest 2 bags contain character gear in invisible bags. so 36 slots worth of food, utlity, siege and so on. leaving me ~110 slots, Salvage O matic and 1-2 mystic forge salvage kits are the 1st 2 things in my backpack.
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.
I like to try and keep my inventory fairly empty.
All my characters have a salvage kit, a booster (because otherwise I never remember to use them) and usually food (maximum 3 slots) in the bottom row of the top bag (where it’s easy to find).
Then they usually have a few odd things in an invisible bag at the bottom. For example spare weapons, golem banker (if they haven’t used it yet), stuff that needs to go into the bank….
My main character also carries around the bandit crests and geodes because she’s the only one who has been to the new maps so far so it’s easier than keeping them in the bank.
“Life’s a journey, not a destination.”
I have mystic salvage kit, copper-fed salvage-o-matic, 2 set of armor for WvW, about 8 different weapons with different sigils, food for WvW, cheap food for dungeon and expensive food for dungeon, about 7 different potions for dungeons, sharpening stone, my Kite, my 2 favorite tonics, ogre pet, elemental powder, WvW siege, Repair Canister, revive orb, ash legion kit, harpy feather, golems in a box (not using them anymore, maybe i should scrap them), my angel aureole, a couple of booster and all the stuff of current living story for Dry Trop and Silverwaste. I probably miss some stuff, i always have too much stuff in there.
Here is the bottom of my inventory.
Food, a different set of equipment, weapons, utilities and fun stuff.
[OHai] – Northern Shiverpeaks
My inventory:
- WvW siege and traps (this is something I hate carrying since it can easily take 15 slots or more)
- Various stacks of food and maintenance oils
- Stacks of incandescent dust which I save to later craft maintenance oils
- Mithril and Elder wood logs which I keep to eventually craft more WvW siege or sell
- The star of gratitude to get rid of empyreal fragments
- Living story related stuff (geodes, bandit crests).
And if I’m in a mood to PvE, I’ll usually carry potions
A bunch of soulbound mementos from events past, parts for items i am slowly working towards, and some account bound gathering tools.
Really wish our home instance held a shelf of sorts where we could show off items from past events that hold zero economic value.
Oh what I wouldn’t give for 20-slot bags whose content are shared across all characters equipped with such a bag. The ability to put all my account bound consumables (boosts, bank access, etc.) in a single bag and use them on any of my characters would be a most convenient one.
I’ll let a screen shot to the talking for the most part: Its of Yumiko’s bags.
I have the max number of bags in this order, top to bottom:
1. 20-slot backpack (default) we all start with one.
2. 20-slot Ancient Karka Shell box
3. 20-slot Fractal Uncommon Equipment Box
4. 20-slot Gossamer Bag
5. 20-slot Craftsman’s Bag
6. 20-slot Equipment Box
7. 20-slot Equipment Box
8. 20-slot Invisible Bag
Each bag has everything properly organized by relevance and what not, with the top most backpack carrying consumables and most used account bound/soul bound things such as kits and tools, and each next bag having area specific stuff such as keys, lock picks and boosters/food and more.
The bottom three bags are for my 4 armor sets and every weapon I have.
I do have enough space of approx. 30-50 slots to hold loot I find.
Worn: All ascended zerkers armor, trinket/rings, GS, Staff
I bought an extra inventory tab.
Inventory:
- 6 pieces of PVT ascended armor
- 6 pieces of Clerics armor
- 6 additional pieces of armor (2 pants, 1 boot, 2 chest, 1 helm) for clothing variety during roleplay events
- 5 PVT ascended rings/trinkets
- Stack of ogre pet whistles
- Stack of elemtal powder
- Ascended hammer
- Ascended shield
- Ascended mace
- Ascended wand
- About a million bandit crests
- 6.02*10E+23 ascended materials that I can’t use
- 6 spots for various Halloween food / regular food / maintenance oils
- 2 exotic items that have special meaning , meaningful to the character, to give away to others during the course of meaningful conversation.
…Basically I have 60 spots permanently occupied in inventory for gameplay necessities and niceties.
I have stacks and stacks of T5 Account-bound materials in storage, and more stacks and stacks of unbound materials in the 1-person guild I set up for overflow storage. Best in-game purchase ever was to buy a guild for myself and use it for shared account storage. I’ve spent maybe 10GP and gotten something like 100 storage slots out of it. Totally worth it.
It depends on the alt. My general scheme:
Backpack kept empty, so I can spot new items quickly and not accidentally sell/salvage something I want to keep. As many spaces below that clear as I can.
Somewhere in the top few bags, left side, a row of weapons to swap to at need. I keep a full selection of the profession’s weapons, though not necessarily exotic or transmuted on weapons I seldom equip. Also near the top, right side, salvage kits. Somewhere in that area I put consumables.
Below that I keep toys and alternate armors for costuming. Donari has the most combat-ready gear, the same statted exotics skinned to different looks. I have to clutter my bags with that because I won’t spend charges changing looks on an hour to hour basis but he’s a noble clothes-horse and won’t always be in the same thing. Jin has way more, however, keeping a sample of most every Light armor there is in quickly wearable form, sorted by armor slot and skimpiness to full coverage. No, I can’t actually PvE with her, she has something like 12 open slots if that I thought the Wardrobe was going to save me all that space. Alas.
At the bottom I keep an invisible bag for unique items I cannot replace. When I need to protect something from Deposit Materials (e.g. the venom sac I had to infuse in SW for the Luminescent collection) I slip it in there.
KEEP ALL THE THINGS!!!!!!
I have so much stuff in my inventory it’s not even funny. It’s not even close to organized. I know I should do it, but I just never get around to it.
It’s the chain I beat you with until you
recognize my command!”
Tons of tonics, a basic salvage kit, weapons to swap to. Fireworks, SAB boxes o’ fun, kite, birthday cake gun. Consumables for tequatl/wurms (fire ele powder, pet whistle, engineer turret, sylvari turret, jar of bees) Misc food/sharpening stones/dungeon potions.
(edited by SSGroguey.5841)
Utility consumables, four sets of armor and de nadda else, on my guardian.
The others have rather less inventory clutter.
I’m kind of ocd about my inventory. The top is clear for drops I pick up.
The bottom holds gear that I’m about to level in to, salvage kits and boosters I may need depending on the activity.
I like to keep various salvage kits, consumables and my alternate weapon sets handy.
There’s always at least one stack of bloodstone dust, empyreal fragments and essences of 10 luck in my junk loot pack.
heh..
-2 different foods
-Wetstones
-Magic find thingies from halloween in bulk
-Star of gratitude
-Spare rifle (with different sigils then my main)
-Spare pistol
-Spare shield
-Lucky pistol (starter weapon i still carry arround)
-Repair canisters
-Revive orbs
-BLTC salvage kit
-Mystic Salvage kit
-Chopper fed
-Fire ele powder
-Metabolic Primers
-Bank access thingies
-Merchant express
-Trading post express
- and my toy balloon
got an invisible bag for that stuff so it never really gets in the way. Rest of my inventory is for loot…and atm SW related items
What don’t I keep in my inventory? Seriously, my inventories are so darn cluttered its ridiculous.
The whole 20 slots of my “starter bag” is usually full of random stuff. Salvage kits, spare gathering tools, random consumables from around the world (stuff like turret seeds, pet summons, foods leftover from festivals, ect).
Then I have 3 bags that I try to keep somewhat clear for drops, although on some of my characters the above “random stuff” overflows even into those.
Then I have 3-4 invisible bags on the bottom of my inventory that I use for spare weapons and armor (I have or will eventually have 2-3 different sets of armor per character, and 3-4 different weapons of each type per character, all just for different skins… I love using different weapon skins, but I keep them all on separate weapons so I don’t have to use trans charges all the itme), combat consumables, stacks of quartz for my daily charged quartz acquisitions, and various “fun stuff” like tonics / kites.
All said and done, I usually only have 40 or so slots for drops at any given time. Not helped by the fact that most of my characters don’t even have 20-slot bags, as they’re rather expensive when crafted and I don’t do fractals so I can’t get them that way. I have been slowly upgrading them with Halloween Pails, though, so most characters have 2 20-slot bags at least.
Dragonite, and that other related stuff that I forgot the name of because I’ve been away for a few months. I kept it because Devon said there would be something to spend it on in the future.
But something I just realized is that the future never arrives. Its always the present, never the future.
This is what it should look like when it’s tidy. I am lacking rocks and ogre pet whistles.
Can’t seem to let go of that toilet paper.

Weapons, mystic salvage kit, and a bunch of crap I haven’t yet decided I’ll never need again
This is all the stuff Hip Hop Hamster carries around with her. She’s gonna get back problems. :c
