I need some inspiration to try and get back into the game!

So, what are your plans/aims in GW2 today?

The same I have been doing for the past 4 or is it now 5 months without any meaningful content… log in, open my daily chest, log out again.

Casually collecting some mats for Twilight. My Necro will be happy!

-Get my daily log in chest
-See no friends online from the 3 WvW guilds I’m in because they all quit
-Log off
-Chat to Guild members over Facebook about other games to play together
-Browse forums
-Go back to Memecenter.
-Play other games

Do some sPvP, then farm a bit, maybe silverwastes or black lion keys, not sure which yet.

Get login reward
Do dailies
Farm a few geodes for ambrite weapons (my current exciting project)
Log out of game

they need to introduce a loot system like runescape or diablo… so that people can grind valuable drops instead of junk blues greens mats …

Not getting that, nor is anyone I was playing with today.

Today I logged in, ran a new guildie through a story mode dungeon that he needed to unlock the PvP track, gathered mats to make my daily ascended crafting, did the daily, did a couple of the world bosses, a tiny bit of PvP.

Because my guild constantly has new players coming through, there’s always someone that needs help with something.

Im going to play with my bestie and show off our cute asura! Then we will do dungeons, then fractals, then play in rata sum and show off some more lol. Probably some wvw after that since they always need help. I might then challenge some players to belchers bluff and then have a fashion contest :P We will probably go to our hideout after that and plan out some fun guild games to play! We might also go to southsun today and have a beach party lol I hope crab toss is active.

You should totally log in! Don’t let the naysayers get you down! There are so many fun things to do! <3

Oh and I forgot! Saturday is music night so we are totally gonna play all our instruments lol

I loved the dailies last night/today. I had a third of them done before I even had time to look up so I just had to go to a few resource nodes and an easy vista. Here I was thinking I would have to skip my dailies because I had another event elsewhere at the same time as reset … I was just a few minutes late because walking down the pipe in the starter Charr area does not exactly require a brain drain.

Exploring Orr for the 15th time and trying to reach the holy 1001 disconnects ^(°-°)^

Rinse repeat all previous steps for 20mins
Find new use for my desktop fan

Post snarky bandwagon whines on the forums in a heartwrenching attempt to salvage some meaning from my banal existence.

Then log in and have a fantastic time playing, but not admit it to anyone because it’s not cool to like stuff.

Planned to do Karka Queen, DC’ed yet again, thought about doing Teq on the next run but I think I’ll take a walk instead no problem with getting DE’ed.

I log in for the daily reward most days. I don’t have anything else to do after that.

Already ran 2 Silverwastes event maps and since its weekend i’ll be back in the game by about 3pm PST.

plan to do the following:

1. check the LFG for dungeons and mid or upper fractals, thin kabout running some, get turned off by all the "zerker only posts and not run any, since i’m done zerker farming.

2. hop on my mesmer and go to WvW, troll some mid / small size zergs, kill stragglers, possibly hop maps to EOTM and do the same, especially knock them of off bridges puts a smile on my face, double that if they’re uplevels.

3. by then should be daily reset so get my daily login reward.

4. hop to pvp lobby see what the daily class is, switch to it, do like 2-3 matches.

5. go do the gathering daily whatever it may be and do the daily gathering in my home instance.

6. hop back in wvw see if any decent groups are forming, since by then should be prime time. if they are, switch to my necro or guard, hop on teamspeak and run for about 2-3 hours with them. if not, then back on my mes or thief for some more trolling but for shorter time.

7. go do some crafting, make my daily ascended mats, check some prices on TP, see if I can make anything for some good profit, throw it up on the TP, log off for the day.

Get daily chest, do dailies, do some WvW and EotM, do Teq, and maybe guild mission if I’m not lazy~

When all are done, time to log out to do other stuffs like play other games, watch anime, and so on lol

Already played a bit today, and here’s what I’ve done:

1. Climbed to the top of a tower in Lion’s Arch for a vista, put on diving gear and did a leap of faith. Seriously, the diving gear was a clue that I would hit the water, but I didn’t know for sure until I did, thanks to the horrible camera. Until the very last second, I thought I was going to hit the beach. That splash felt awesome.

2. Tried my best at a jumping puzzle. Let’s just say that didn’t end well. Lol.

3. Discovered a nice building under the water in Lion’s Arch. Pointless, but nice.

4. Got motivated by the underwater-building to go explore and find new, nice things to see.

5. Gathered a whole bunch of loot-bags, then pretended it was Christmas already. And all the presents were for me! Me! Me! MEEEE!!! Ahem… sorry…

6. Sighed heavily as I looked at the counter for the guild armor. Kinda cool to get armor with my own insignia, when I’m in a one-person guild. Next up, guild weapons.

7. Had fun looking at the auction house in Rata Sum, trying to find new, shiny stuff to spend money on. I always do. It’s my superpower.

8. Considered becoming a cook. Then sold my cooking ingredients, but kept the cooking outfit. It looks awesome with the right colors and no hat.

I plan to do WvW… If i get in

Dailies and that’s it.

Fractal Daily. Then I’m going to spend most of my time gathering while I watch stuff on TV/youtube. Then I’ll power personal story on my new toons. Probably end the day with Triple Trouble.

Same as everyday for the last 6 months, Log in get login rewards log out and surf forums for any info on the expac that was announced 6 months before it should’ve been.

It’s a content drought. Unless people have something in particular they are working on they are doing the same old things they have been doing for the last several months. That leads to a lot of “log in, get reward, do some basic grinding, log out.”

However if you haven’t logged in for a long time there could be lots for you to do. Your situation isn’t quite the same as people who gave been logging in daily since the last major update (and I don’t mean black lion skins when I say major update).

Actually I’m taking a break from Guild Wars 2 today, and messing around in Guild Wars 1 instead.

Weeks ago it was a knock off of my Main Character Rathsphere Male Guardian Charr Race, Took a Identity Repair Kit and overhualed my Mesmer into a completely new character and that’s what she became, I did plan the idea ahead which made the final look come out faster.

But all I will be doing today is just hang out and relax some, I was playing Star Trek Online for a few hours and wanted a place to relax with others in a different setting. I might go gather materials later and make some money (I don’t do crafting vary much) so I can earn a bit of gold on the side, While I do have 70 Gold that can go away in a heart beat.

-Go through all of my parked characters
-Crafting
-Dailies
-Alt accounts (for log-in and crafting)
-Return to main account, chat to guildies/friends to see what they’re up to
-Fractals (aiming for fractal level 50 before HoT)
-Dungeons, probably one of the paths I’m missing for Dungeon Master
-TA- something I’ve recently picked up, but plan on doing regularly
-Help other guildies with achievements their missing
-If I’m not in the mood for dungeons, I’ll do some WBT, including Teq and TT if organised
-If the mood takes me, I’ll level one of my alts
-If it’s a Thursday, I’ll do guild missions
-If I want to zone out and do something lucrative, I’ll watch something on a different screen whilst doing CF
-Plan which stuff I’m making next- e.g. currently I’m looking to make an ascended scepter, use the mf on my ascended focus to unlock all colour variants, make ascended armour and then make Jormag’s Needle and Jormag’s breath for the collection achievement. These are “long-term” goals which I can look forward to completing within the next month or two. (Which should land me perfectly at the release of HoT).

I’ve recently rejoined an old guild I had from GW1, which now means that doing dungeons and fractals is far more likely for me. You can probably see that most of the things I do now revolve around friends or guildies- before I would just run around levelling and exploring with alts and completing achievements as they arrived. Not that I disliked this playstyle- I kept up with it for a year and a bit no problem. It’s definitely better having a bit of variety, and having a bond with friends and guildies really makes the game more enticing.

BARWARS is well said. In these hot days beer is essential.
About gw2 well.. log in, get chest , log out cause there’s nothing new to do.
Give us a gauntlet or something maybe? Something to kill the time before halloween?

Attempt to finish off my personal story on my elementalist

Log in, do dailies and hit home nodes, then log out. Just like most days.

Logged in on all my accounts for login rewards then back out…been same for previous eight days now after returning from holiday I’ve had no motivation. No doubt return properly once routine at home is settled again.

Generally, Login on multiple accounts then aim to complete a filled list in my head of short lived ideas of savings ready for Heart of Thorns.

Usually consists of the following:

Daily login, PvP daily for potions, save said potions for new reward tracks, champion bag farm, couple dungeons, full frac run – depending on daily – if not then level 50, ascended material crafting, Necro map completion. Slowly working on collections as a side project. Rinse and repeat for some more months until HoT.

It’s really not all that telling. It’s absolutely normal for people to stop logging in before an expansion when they’ve done all the previous content.

Anet can read this thread from today till next year and it won’t change anything at all, because they’re working on content. They’re not going to stop working on content to hold us over. I’m sure they’re quite aware that less people log in when they don’t have new content for months on end. What do you think reading this will change for them?

Well, I logged in to do the daily and decided against it, so instead I did a ~dozen world bosses.
Then gave some (about 5 various, some from the new BL chest reward) of the t6 mats i gained and a few rares (for his forge attempts) to my guildie who is still building his legendary.

And out of good spirit in this thread, what did you do today Vayne dude/dudette?
