I want more community related content that is focused more on the social aspect of the game. Im not sure what that could be but I hope we have more content that is like that. Maybe have like one huge area that is filled with all of the previous (and new) minigames and things. That way everyone who wants to do that sort of thing will all be in the same area and can find others to play with.

For the expansion though, I’d love to see more of Tyria open up. Also another race or class would be cool.

I do NOT want a raise in level cap. That will ruin so many things… it hurts just to think about it.

Why should an expansion not be permanent? Living World Content and Expansions are different stuff you know.

I’d like to see all the places that were accessible in GW1 Proph + more of Orr and the Isle of Janthir.

- I would like to see more different mechanics like in Molten Facility or in mini dungeons – those were nice and too many things in GW2 are just straightforward dmg spam.
- Also I would love to see another continent like Canthia (If you will expand Tyria by Living story that is)
- Guild houses, personal houses, guild attacks (in way like one guild challenges another one and they both choose time for rad on a guild house or some battlefield battle)
- More WvW maps which would enforce different mechanics in each map
- bring back a lot from GW1 pvp please
- Some new races and classes could be nice but not really needed except playing Kodan

- In the meantime add more dungs and challenging stuff for typical hardcore players Molten Facility and such
- also add a lot more storylines for Living World

— Cantha.
— Alliance Battles.
— Reworked skill system which would let you choose skills from a list for each weapon and for F1-4 instead of fixed skill list like it is now.
— Bugs for skills and traits fixed (since, they’re obviously impotent to do it via regular updates) xP .
— Would be nice to see GW1-style quests making it back to the game, zones will have more background to them then, imo hearts are not enough.
— More modes for sPvP, ability to watch replays.
— Possibly new weapons, at least for some classes.
— Reworked dungeon system which would encourage players to do all dungeons instead of farming one to death (CoF p1).
— Audio engine is very glitchy, would be nice for them to finally fix it. xP
— Build and equipment manager, ability to swap builds of the fly.
— Ability to bind consumables, or an action bar for consumables n stuff.

I would like dungeons and other content to be based on meaningful, strategic choices. Make content that doesn’t incentivize Beserker-only builds, but requires a thoughtful execution of control and support mechanics. Modify weapon skills, traits and abilities to match this.

I dont want to see an expansion.
Expansion will most likely mean more levels which means my gear is outdated which justifies every rant on these forums about this game straying from its core and heading toward gear grind/treadmill/gear progression.

But if I had to choose:
-New class/weapon abilities
-New zones
-No level increase, no gear/stat increase. Just skins, obtainable relatively easy without 3 months of grind, RNG, or spending in the cash shop.
-More personal story
-Solo/Duo mini dungeons.

Karma is as abundant as air, and as useless as the Kardashians.

More skills, good elites, more weapon/armour variety a couple more playable races/professions. Significantly less rng and dr, enemies without 1 billion hp’s for difficulty (strategy required instead), named bosses around the maps like ‘Spasmo Thunderbolt’ etc. instead of just veteran/champion. Ability to play dungeons in different ways, the tons of hp sponges method in this game is such a boring turn off for me, same as UVHM in BL2 it’s just tedium.

Bring back skill capping and the option to do dailies similar to as they were in GW like bounty hunting etc. things that are actually fun and made you group up with Guildies/randoms instead of just going through the monotonous motions of the current dailies like a zombie.

The way I see it, there are 3 types of expansions they could do:

1. Factions/Nightfall like – so massive new game map and new personal story requiring a new character (character slot expansion included), with at least 1 new class so people can have a brand new leveling experience. Example: Elona/Cantha

2. Eye of the North like – expansion of existing map with new areas and continuation of existing personal story for max level characters. New class would not be necessary, but there would have to be plenty of max level/end game content e.g. dungeons as well as a compelling story. Example: Far Shiverpeaks and Jormag.

3. WOW like expansion, with some of the above, in addition to an extension of existing level cap and new gear grind.

I would prefer 2, although 1 would also be awesome, if unlikely from what anet has being telling us. If it ends up being 3, I will almost certainly quit the game.

Iv been worried ever since colin said they wernt ruling new levels out.

Lot’s of things I want , for example :

- New playable races , Ogres , Skritts , Centaurs , or Kodans .

- Guild Halls , player housing , capes , and tabards .

-New map for WvWvW

-Old classes brought back such as paragon , monk , ritualist , and dervish .

-More fluff items such as cooking , fishing , boating , or grow your own farm .

-Heroes and mounts , would be nice to ride a dolyak with Faren or Dinky next to you .

- Horizontal progression. (Ways to accumulate builds and equipment loadouts you can switch out of combat, more fun skills). Not inflating +stats BS that doesn’t change anything.

- No increase in lvl cap

- A minstrel/skald/bard class in the lines of either lotro or daoc.

- More creative zones or regions that don’t look like anything in the real world. (not saying they aren’t exquisitely crafted, they’re awesome, just too normal most times.)

Give me game. Not grind, not gating, not RNG, not +stat junk, not checklists.

almost forgot the few points i would like to see in a expansion (heres hoping free updates brings this but i cant count on it)

- Massive guild update. Basic functionality plus guild halls, gvg and alot more thats been suggested again and again.
- Massive DE update – bring de’s to how they were described before beta. Basically NPC factions dynamically battling over an entire map – the player being able to make good factions win etc. Real implications for success and failure. This needs to include all existing DEs aswell, so that tyria doesnt become obsolete.

BUT ABOVE ALL.
SANDBOX CONTENT. Oh yes.
Player housing, real farming, hunting, building. A player ecomony based on resource and pvp. Maybe a special map of WvW in which has FFAPVP type gameplay. Thinking of the third continent of archeage style in which players could build towers, keeps, castles that control a portion of the map – then dictate pvp rules (FFA or server allied) for region controlled, tax rates for player housing built on land, all attackable by enemy guilds, servers or even rogue players. All this made possible by a player driven resource system. Maybe certain DEs could activate under each region (for example, a server allied region would have NPCs from the opposing servers creating DE’s while a FFA region would have pirates and mercenarys wreaking havoc on everyone). Of course this means that extra wvw map would have to be as big as all 3 BLs and EBs combined.

This in itself would drastically improve the endgame. The amount of player chosen roles available would be immense and give players a feeling of value within the zergs of this game.
You would have pure crafters, supply runners, scouts, pirates, anti PVPers, alliance and negotiation co-ordinators, spys, mercenarys and explorers just to name a few.

Even if my ideas were flamed by the community, without a sandbox endgame, guild wars 2 is going to stay in this paradoxical state in which half the playerbase is confused at what the endgame actually is. FFA might be abit too hardcore for the games audience, but im sure heavily payed designers could come up with something better than me anyway.

PS> Another thing that just came to me is the idea of server identity within Wvw in general. Lets have players choosing building styles and decorations. Let players make choices like > either build a defensive wall on this side of the map, or this side. Aslong as the choices are balanced and would require players to work towards it (say for a new wall you would have to collect resources and badges by the thousands, and combine efforts across the whole server). Imagine going up agaisnt a brand new server and each BL being different in slight but still tactically beneficial ways. Would reduce the stagnation drastically.
In fact im gonna flesh the idea out more and then post a thread up specially.

I’d like to see home instances, new weapons such as great axe, and dwarves. I’d also like to see a new set of legendary weapons, along with legendary armor with some lore behind it. The legendary tier has no legend behind it… they’re just really hard to get.

I don’t want an expansion until they fix the current state of the game. Seriously… there’s something wrong when I’ve played almost 2500 hours and haven’t received a single exotic drop. The drop-rate issues are now almost as bad as Diablo 3’s drops were. Why would I want an expansion that’s just as broken as the current game?

I posted in the Lore fourms (on accident), “I think that Cantha will be added. I think the addition of Cantha could be used to add world PvP in the particular continent. I like the idea of WvW but the addition of world PvP would be nice. Once you enter Cantha you could have the choice to join a new gathering of Luxon and Kurzic forces that have been dormant for all these years (the two warring groups in Cantha from Guild Wars 1). Thus, we would be able to have world pvp in Cantha and PK the players on the opposing side. Also, what do you think the races and classes would be if they added Cantha. I think that they will only add 2 new races and classes in the next expansion. Knowing Guild Wars, I can almost guarantee this. For the two races, I would think that they would most likely add the Skritt, Kodan, Tengu, or Quaggan. For the classes, I could see a monk, a dervish, a ritualist, a pargon, a shaman (most likely), a druid (maybe not), or a dark knight of some sort. After that we have to think about weapons, skills, runes, traits, and sigils. For the runes and sigils. I could see many more different types added for more customization. I don’t think they are going to add new ammys though (sorry). As for the traits, they will probably add a new trait line for each class and a new slot. I could see there being four slots (Adept, NOVICE, Master, Grandmaster). As we saw in Guild Wars 1, they doubled the amount of skills in the next expansion. I could see the same happening in Guild Wars 2. This would add more variety and there would be more combinations of skills for builds one might want to use. Maybe builds would look a bit more different. Finally, I could see at least four new weapons added. Weapons I would like them to add would be the following: Battleaxe, Claymore, Halberd, Lance, Scythe, One-handed Hammer, Shuriken, Crossbow, Pick, Maul, Chained Mace, Chained Scythe, Whip, Throwing Knives/Daggers, Fists, Claws, Poles, and (since I couldn’t think of anything really that good for an Engineer) a Bazooka, perhaps? I don’t know. Anyway, I could also see many new dungeons added. I think Guild Wars 2 has the perfect opportunity to add a land in the sky to explore (like a mini Sky-world or something), but this is all just my thought on something they might add in the next expansion.” This is just an idea. I know most of it won’t happen. But keep sharing your ideas. I would like to hear more XD!

Give us an endgame that doesn’t consist of:

1) Legendary grind
2) Temple clearing

It’d be nice to have some sort of raid-like instances where there are more than 5 people and you actually need teamwork, like maybe the raid group has to split into 2 teams or something.

The bosses now in (most) dungeons are just DPS fests. Same thing with world bosses like the dragons. ANet wanted those to be the solution for raids, but they ended up just being facerolls with all the people who participate.

50/50 chance to transform you into either a giant or a pipsqueak. Several boxes have a chance to do both of these to you, I just want a endless tonic that I do one of those at random (so I can keep using it until I get the one that would be funnier for the situation).
I love being an asura that is taller than a norn, or indistinguishable from a rodent. can you imagine facing down an army of giant asura in wvw battle???
