What does it take to get VoD party started?I got 3 waiting to do VoD.I would really like to get this done.

Victory or Death, the final story instance where you have to do Arah.

Another flaw in the personal story design, you can do everything yourself but then need a party of players to do the very last part.

Although it should be possible to do VoD with just 3 people, though it’d be more of a slog.

I always felt it was a bad idea to let people do explorable mode of dungeons without first completing the story mode, but I believe I’m in the minority with that opinion.

To find players, try to find some time to do this on a week-end evening if you can. If not, ask some guild mates. My guild gladly accepted to help me with it, although they all had completed that story mode at least once.

Erm, no. MMO simply stands for Massively Multiplayer Online. It doesn’t say anywhere that you are forced to group with people.

Furthermore, you get to do the whole personal story alone, but you are forced to do the very last step with other people meaning that there’s a good chance the cutscenes (dialogue bits) will feature other character than yours. Not that you’ll miss much and the dialogue is not great, but it’s an annoyance.

Anyway, at the moment the only way to complete this is to team up with others, so you’ll have to find other people for this.

We did it with just 3 people, it did not seem overly difficult. I believe we all played as Rangers; in fact, I am sure of it.

You could certainly give it a try with the party you have now.

You aren’t forced to even complete the last arc, if any of the story. People don’t usually play MMOs to do everything on their own, and its a good way to get people into the habit of teaming up to do other parts of the game. As it was intended.

5 players all teaming up to complete a common goal. I don’t see how this is any different to the first ever instance you are placed into just as you create your character with other players coming in.

You see players through out the whole game but you still expect the whole game to be centered around you?

I never understood why people get upset over group content in an mmo. How is this a surprise? Is it realistic for one player to take on an army and a ginormous undead dragon?

It’s more a nuisance that people will go with, but only if you pay them 5-10 gold per head. People stand in front of Arah selling themselves for story mode.

I really hope A-Net makes at least 75% of the HoT story missions Group Missions like we had in GW. Start out w/ 4-man missions and go up to 8-man for the final one. If they were to do this then we wouldn’t have such trouble getting story mode dungeons done.

Are you by chance in a guild? I was stopped at Victory or Death myself for quite a while, but I’m fortunate to be in a small but active guild. I just waited a few days and helped guildies get through their personal story until there were enough of us on the same step to tackle it together.

Yes.I am in a guild that doesn’t seem to active only couple on.
