The Wiki says it reflects damage back to its source but does that mean we take no damage while it’s in effect?

No, it does not make you Invulnerable. “Reflect” is a poor choice of words too, because it doesn’t technically reflect any damage at all; it damages anyone attacking you for a set amount of damage based on your Power.

I can do thirty Five-Dolyak Arm Curls.

It also does not stop conditions from being put on you. So condition removal is still important.
