It’s seems GW2 is not advancing, it’s just going sideways. Other than some new areas that open up in living story and UI changes what is really new??

- Having to due content twice to get rewards for Living Story is just lame!
- Charging returning players for Living Story content, bad idea.
- Leveling new characters for experienced players is horrible (dumbed down).
- Trying to turn WWW into some sort of Esport (not why I bought the game).
- A lot of new events still don’t scale to the number of players.
- Players still being kicked from maps and dungeons.
- More and more recycled content.

Another year is about over so what ever happened to?

1. Crafting level 500 for Food and Jewelry?
2. Crafting Precursors?
3. New professions, no new levels, no new races?
4. New dungeons?

Going sideways is advancing, depending on your perspective. Sounds to me like they’re just not advancing in the direction you want.

“Having to due content twice to get rewards for Living Story is just lame!”
On what Earth are there video games that don’t have you repeating things? And are you seriously complaining about optional rewards?

“Charging returning players for Living Story content, bad idea.”
Yeah, if they couldn’t unlock it just by logging in during the story. Otherwise this is nearly identical to the model presented by online TV streaming services, which is a good idea.

“Leveling new characters for experienced players is horrible (dumbed down).”
Not even close to being objective; lots of people rather enjoy it.

Dungeon team has been disbanded. Precursor crafting has been delayed. You don’t have to pay for living story content, you can join another player’s instance to go through it for yourself, and it’s certainly better than season one, where if you missed it, it was simply gone forever.

No promises were ever made about raising the level cap or adding professions/races, as far as I am aware.

Cooking and jewelry… I got nothin’.

Because we can’t be angry about both?

I dont see what raising the lvl cap would do when we down level anyway much rather keep going sideways adding more skills weapons and classes

The illusion of progression. Not that I am a supporter of the leveling mania, but I would already be happy with an illusion of the illusion of progression.
