What ever happened too?
Going sideways is advancing, depending on your perspective. Sounds to me like they’re just not advancing in the direction you want.
“Having to due content twice to get rewards for Living Story is just lame!”
On what Earth are there video games that don’t have you repeating things? And are you seriously complaining about optional rewards?
“Charging returning players for Living Story content, bad idea.”
Yeah, if they couldn’t unlock it just by logging in during the story. Otherwise this is nearly identical to the model presented by online TV streaming services, which is a good idea.
“Leveling new characters for experienced players is horrible (dumbed down).”

Dungeon team has been disbanded. Precursor crafting has been delayed. You don’t have to pay for living story content, you can join another player’s instance to go through it for yourself, and it’s certainly better than season one, where if you missed it, it was simply gone forever.
No promises were ever made about raising the level cap or adding professions/races, as far as I am aware.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
I dont see what raising the lvl cap would do when we down level anyway much rather keep going sideways adding more skills weapons and classes
