So having killed lots (and lots) of risen giants, my giant kill count on the Giant Slayer achievement track still only reports one giant killed.
I am assuming that this is in reference to the giant in the Charr starter area.
If so, this could be a REALLY hard track to max…

I think the Giant Slayer only counts “named” giants from Dynamic Events and not just the random giants that run about looking mean and stomping everyone.

I assume that Risen giants are Risen first and giants second. That’s why they aren’t registering in your kill tally. And yeah, aside from the one event at Nageling to kill the champion giant, I can’t think of any other hostile giants that I’ve come across. In fact, the ONLY other giant I can remember right now is the friendly one in Kessex Hills, who asks you to clear the ettins out of his cave, then smashes down the wall to reveal a chest for you.

Over in Brisban Wildlands there is a veteran giant who is in no way part of a quest or event. He is my single giant kill. He resides in toxal bog, near U.N.I.T’s spawn point.

There’s also a “small” friendly giant in Harathi Hinterlands. Again, not killable.
I’m not at home to check, but does anyone know what the Giant Slayer track tops out at?

Edit: oooo, good tip Painking.

How is Kol not killable? He’s the same as the one in Diessa Plateau and both are easy as hell. Just a ton of HP.

He says “friendly” giant. Kol is the furthest thing from friendly.

Don’t think I’m talking about Kol. I’m talking about, like I said, a “small” giant, only slightly taller than a Norn. He’s part of an event where you guide him through caves to the grave of his friend.

Edit: This guy, Fen.

Oh, I never did that. But yeah, Champion Giant and Kol both counts towards the achievement. It surprise me that I’ve only killed 15.. 985 more of them to go! lol
