What good about casters in this game?
This isn’t every other game you’ve played, the most durable class in the game is a light armor wearing caster.
Which is stupid.
Yeah I die like 100x more on my warrior/thief than I do on my mesmer….melee classes just get completely trashed in this game.

Mesmers have insane damage mitigation abilities, I’ve personally seen a mesmer trash 3 people in tPVP and never die once in the whole Rank 40 tournament.
Not even guardians which most regard as the best bunker class in the game can stand up to them.
That’s when you know something is horribly wrong alright !
I main mesmer, and I do think they are very strong in PvP, but I will vote against a nerf, at least until they fix Mesmer’s PvE problems

I can see a nerf to portals coming from an AU away right now.

mesmers can summon an army of clones to whittle you away while they dodge, turn invincible, turn invisible then dodge some more.
elementalists are crazy tanky with a couple talents that give you several seconds of invincibility when you reach a certain % of hp and they can heal themselves back up super easy. Oh and swapping attunements counts as a weapon swap so you can abuse some of the weapon swap sigils like crazy (Hello near unlimited stamina!)
necros…. idk much about this class they seem easier to kill than most.

necros can sap your life and lay a ton of conditions on you as you fight, and they literally have a second health bar.
JChap, the PvP dev, once described their take on necros as “that guy that’s just so hard to get away from”. the necros win on PvP by keeping you in battle and wearing you out. the longer you fight, the stronger he gets.
the paradoxal counter is the thief, which is the guy that can get away from any situation, with a bunch of stealths, teleports, stunbreaks, and infinite rolls (if you spec right)

nope. engis are redheaded stepchildren. Even our weapon stats don’t help when we have kits equipped.

What good about them to trade for taking more damage cause of little defense armor.
The fact that you are ranged is the payoff for weaker armor. Warriors get torn to pieces quite often as they always need to be in range.

I’m really sure Warrior and Guardian can be range too if you know what i mean. The beauty of this game.

The Warrior definitely has ranged options. The Guardian however is questionable because they have one option and the auto attack feature on it is quite… unusual to say the least. This is done probably offset the amount of survivability the Guardian has compared to a warrior.
Some really misguided ideas here.
“Casters” doesn’t apply to GW2. Everyone has the same skill mechanics.
“Melee Class” — no profession is a melee class. D/D ele compared to rifle/longbow warrior, or scepter0torch/focus guardian.
Look mathematically at what difference the armor type makes. It’s not much.
The real problem with the light armor professions is relatively low damage output. In “compensation” they get some great utility.

Ok…so there is a problem here. Wait you said “low damage”? are you sure? or “low defense?”
Light meaning less defense than heavy
As far as utility, everyone get the same amount of utility slot, so not sure what you mean.
