We were told that the events would change the world. but all I see is that they are self activating repeating quest. If charr or centaurs attack a village and no one helps why is the village still there and so are the npc. I know that’s a lot to code to keep changing the world but isn’t that what was suppose to be the selling point of the game.
Don’t get me wrong I like the game.

and by the way no i have never played WoW.

Not all of them change anything, but quite a few. In harathi hinterlands, if centuars take a post, they do actually take it, and you do have to take it back in another event. Another problem is that not many dynamic events fail. I had to rescue a girl once, I escorted the girl back to her mother, and the mother was a real npc and they interacted.

It’s understandable that some feel a lack of change in these events. You have to understand that GW2 is the first of it’s kind with incorporating Dynamic events to such a massive scale. Maybe Anet is testing what the Dynamic system is capable off and have more plans for improving it in the coming content.

I’m just glad that there are events/quests you can still find to do at your difficulty even after hitting max lvl unlike any other MMO I’ve played. You can either choose to do them or not, it’s your choice.

I thought the same at first, but especially in mid-level areas I would say it’s often quite different.

As it was mentioned. if an outpost is taken there, the enemies hold it. That means no travelling there, no NPCs and lots of enemies.

I have to say I would like to see a greater impact on the zones, especially from the zone events, who often only have an impact on the small area they are in (although they rarely fail anyway I guess…)
