It dropped by almost half. Is the skin found in BL chests? Why is there a more supply of them all the sudden?

If that’s the case…. they are either speculating or someone has access to privileged insider info and want to cash out fast. I’ve searched online and couldn’t find info on the possibility of a re-releasing the skins. I know they were only avail thru BL chests in 2012.

It’s not really insider info, but recent history has cases where anet reintroduced things that were extremely pricey and crashed the TP price (hello electro blue dye).
And that’s a lot of money to be out if it crashes and doesn’t recover, so I’d wager some are just getting what they can before the ship sinks.

Gaile announced some old skins were returning. i think she also said some surprises too. Either way it’ll be speculation.

It could also be someone bought in anticipation of the Revenant. The quicky buy price is only down from 4k-3k. Could suggest one or two skins were just bought.

Edit, I did see a lot of people using that shield in VB.

Someone may have datamined it as coming back this Halloween. If that is indeed the case, most likely they’re trying to dump before a complete price crash.

Maybe they redo the raffle from last year, but I doubt (hope) that they will make them available in huge numbers

I hate how guardian aegis ruin shield animations. Ghastly shield looked good on a black hole themed chronomancer. Twilight GS, Ghastly shield and I’m still trying to figure the right sword skin.

This happened last year as well, it happens with pretty much anything that is seasonal, soon the recipe for dwayna’s light is gonna come crashing down because during the winter it should be widly available again from the drops from winterday gifts.

This happens constantly in the economy, and the players able to forsee this can get pretty rich this way, or miscalculate and burn down, it’kitten and miss sometimes, sometimes some weird things happens and ruins their calculations(like how chaos and torment weapons got readded for 1 ticket during anniversary)

Maybe. I looked at the gw2tp. It looked like it was put in game Dec 2013. However supply didn’t go up with wintersday of 2014, it went down, so presumably it wasn’t added back in last wintersday. One reason prices are high is that someone bought hundreds of them from the trading post (~ Dec 26th 2014) when they were cheap and this caused prices to rise from that drop in supply.

Either way prices of skins are ridic. All for the sake of snowflakes. Oh well. Glad I’m really not bothered by these sorts of skins.

Fear of the upcoming Halloween event devaluing the rare items by potentially reintroducing them has likely cause the price to fall dramatically as people try to sell it off for a decent profit.

If Anet was wise they would release all from this set as gem Store Skins. $$$ Cha-ching Anet. Gem sells would sky rocket.

omfg i was thinking the same thing. anet needs to think more like businessmen.

The other weapons from Halloween 2012 haven’t really changed in price. The only notable difference is that the supply on the shield in the last month shot up from 1 to 14-15 while the others had a fairly stable supply. So players who had them in their bank noticed the price and have decided to offer them for big gold.

And now the price is at 600 gold, and 130 for sale, yesterday there was 110 for sale, so who is making them
