There was a lot of hype from anet in blogs and developer videos about how you can go back, redo content in lower level zones and how you would be rewarded equally not only in Karma and XP, but in level appropriate loot.

Was this something officially / unofficially changed? If I remember right, loot scaling was working great in beta.

I wonder if that’s broken too. I was disappointed when i got a lower lvl item.

I always get Greens + Rares around my level. It’s only blue that seem to dip far below or are the areas level. But blues are garbage anyways.

I have noticed this as well. Blues seem to fall to zone-scale.

I have never gotten anything level appropriate in lower level zones, the only time I have seen anything close to the system working is in dungeons.

I have also noticed that there seems to be a cap on doing events. The experience, karma, and silver rewards seem to stop being worth doing in lower level zones after awhile which makes running with low level friends or clearing hearts more of a chore then it should be and takes the fun out of helping friends or clearing a low lvl area you skipped. Don’t know if it is working as intended or not but doesn’t make me want to offer my help to low level friends, or guild mates as their is no reward outside of the fuzzy warm feeling of helping someone out….I want my shiny lol

Just farmed some low level crafting materials. Got 3 Greens and 1 rare 74-80’ish. In Queens.
