I’m just curious if there have been any news regarding the Tablet-Apps that were mentioned 2 years ago:

(( I guess they don’t have high priority ATM but it would be nice to hear if they still plan to release them someday or not, etc. ))

I was wondering about this as well.
Having guild chat and wiki or maybe even a live map on my ipad would be soo nice.

But honestly, right now they don’t even have wiki support ingame, I think this is even more important.

Still, I hope the whole extended experience thing will be resumed when the game runs smoothly.

Doesn’t /wiki “topic” take you to the wiki? Might be wrong but I recall reading this somewhere.

Not having it at launch was definitely a huge let down considering the big deal that was made of it.

The latest we heard, I believe from an AMA, seemed to indicate they aren’t necessarily planning their own apps but opening up a developer API to let fans make sites and apps to work with the data.

Could be good as well, but still disappointed in the delay.

Really hope its released “soon” (soon as in “as soon as everything else is working as intended” ;-)) as I think it will be very useful :-)

When the mysterious tweets began turning up Sunday evening (the quotes from the original teaser trailer and the race trailer), I thought that’s what Anet was building up to. An announcement about this.

But that turned out to be the new trailer, so I was mistaken. Don’t tell my Asura mesmer, okay?

As I understand it, it’ll be released for apple and Android.

They released one app with some functions but it doesn’t sound the same as the one described in the article. Go check it out:

Far more important question: When will the app be available for Android? Silly apple users…

I believe that is an IGN app not made by Arenanet so it isn’t official.

There’s a job posting for a mobile developer position in Seattle, if anyone is interested. I was thinking about it, but a bit busy.

I’d love to have trading post access from my phone!

They mentioned that they are going to open up the API to developers, I’m not sure if they’re still planning on doing it themselves.
