Good question. I, too, would like it to come back. It was a nice way to track gem store sales (especially during March).

The gemstore thread was deleted sometime yesterday for reasons unknown. All my posts on it are gone.

They are ashamed that they have revive orbs on sale. That’s why it got removed.

I would like to have the history of what is and has been in store lately. And I like it sticky.

You can still access it by using the web caches. Just type the following in google search:

Cache:https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/Gemstore-items-new-sales-discounted-prices/first

You’ll have to do this for each page. I also recommend saving it in a word document in case the cache gets purged.

Maybe this would be a good thing to have a wiki page dedicated to?

Here’s my guess as to what happened:

I noted that there was an off-topic post between AP’s last two listings, something along the lines of “I hope that x items(s) will show up during the sale.” I didn’t report it myself, it was short and didn’t cause a derail, but it seems likely to me that a mod chose to delete the post and accidentally deleted the thread instead.

Hopefully the thread can be restored from the Trashcan. It’s far too useful to lose.

I hope Anet brings it back/the new one is allowed to keep going.

I find it very helpful because when I’m away from home (as I often am) I can use it to keep an eye on what’s in the gem store so I know if it’s worth making a special effort to log in if I can, or to stop waiting for a particular item because I’ve missed it if I can’t.

On at least one occasion I’ve gotten home at about 11pm and logged in before going to bed to buy something because that thread let me know it’d be gone by the next morning.

I think it was the truly rude and inappropriate post that was removed (as well as the above-mentioned post); probably accidentally removed the whole thread. As noted, it’s now back; clean and pure. =)

Eep, glad I missed that one. Huzzah for restoration of what is good and right in this world!
