We currently get either a transmutation charge or black lion chest key + some siege and badges for completing a WvW map.

“The WvW maps will now behave like other maps not required for world completion, such as Heart of the Mists. All vistas, skill points, and points of interest will remain on the maps.”

Does this mean no more free transmutation charge for completing a map?

Certainly appears so.

I hope not- that would be complete garbage. Why punish anyone who WANTS to do it? WvWers have to suffer because some PvEers don’t want to play their game mode?

As far as I understand it the map completion would stay just the ‘World Completion’ requirement is being removed. So you would still get your rewards for exploring the WvW maps.

I don’t see any reason for them to change that.

It was removed as a requirement to get 100% world completion. I expect it will still get the same rewards it already has for doing each WvW map.

If they do remove the rewards, it should be easy enough to put them back in if enough WvW people want it.

Does one receive zone completion rewards for Dry Top or SW? Southsun has no map objectives to unlock, so those zones are the only ones that the WvW maps could emulate.

Right, and since Heart of the Mists (the example they used) also does not reward map completion, I’m guessing WvW will emulate these maps. It’s nice to do a racial city and wvw map circuit for the free transmutation charges… I use loads of them!

It doesn’t seem anyone from Anet wants to answer my question, though.
