Dungeon Master title – CHECK
Master Crafter title – CHECK
Legendary – CHECK
Reach level 40 plus in Fractals – CHECK
Be a good Commander in WvW – CHECK
Have at least 3 level 80 toons – CHECK
Get at least 1 toon full ascended accessories – CHECK
Do all the Guild Missions – CHECK

Now what? A short while after my guildmates and I got what we sought out to achieve, we were still enjoying the game, running dungeons daily, doing the guild missions, WvW and world events including Temples. But dungeons and world events have become boring to us now and WvW a bit too futile and endless. I thought about maybe doing PVP tournaments which many of us haven’t done but pvp’s something to do when you enjoy it and there’s little incentive to do it.

Edited to add:

I think what the game needs is more challenging content, something like Arah and FOTM. And maybe it would help if they made PvP a big e-sport.

You are not even close to achieving everything. It will take you something like 10 years to complete most of the WvW achievements.

Open your achievement panel. If every bar is not full, you’ve still got stuff to do. Just some suggestions, dunno if you’ve done them:

- all jumping puzzles
- all diving goggles
- all world bosses
- all slayers
- roll an alt

Haha yeah, but there’s not much incentive to do that either, is there? If I did that I’d just get my name on some board that nobody will notice unless I’m in the top 3 or my guildmates look for my name specifically.

A big pile of fireworks appear around you for celebrate the achievement, after that you perma receive the super duper aura of your choice, white, black, gold or platinum. And a cloak, the cloak of ’’game’s winner’’ its color white/red with the logo of gw2 in the back, is just visible and cant be equipped or removed.

Also, all the mini-dungeons! (not sure if these are still grouped with the puzzles in the achievement tabs)

That’s why goals are for suckers: Once you’ve achieved them, you just feel empty because no you have no more goal.

No but really play a new game for a while and then come back.

Put the game away for six months and when you come back…new content.

No game can ever keep up with players like you. You play too fast, consume content to fast. You can always beat content faster than someone else can make it.

Another brilliant reason to be less efficient like I am. lol

There was a time when people played games simply for the fun of playing them. I feel like GW2 offers a great opportunity for this once you have grown tired of chasing achievements (whether figurative or literal).

I just finished grinding out my legendary… Now I’m saving money for a permanent bank contract.

In the meantime, I’m playing WvW like crazy. No real rewards from WvW…but I’m just, plain, having fun. And that’s all that matters.

Cultural armor on your main?
Alts of all professions with at least 1 of each race to 80?
Cultural armor sets of each race?
Personal Story done in all three Orders?
Your choice of WvW title?
Got all minipets?
Gotten a full set of every dungeon armor for all three armor types?
Got all Slayer achievements?

But honestly, I don’t think you should play the game for “achieving”. That’s just misguided.

40+ fractals? Get to level 80, it’s the only PvE challenge in the game really. Arah is easy as pie. Just go WvW/sPvP after as you can just keep doing that.

You have yet to achieve the max rank of fotm, when that happens professor Oak will give you a free Mew, cheer you, build your own GYM AND offer you a small cupcake to celebrate.

Oh and by the time you reach the fotm cap they’ll prly release 100 new fotm levels.

Well if you’re looking for something to do that’s something more than just more ach pts, roll an alt of every profession and do some PvP or WvW with them. It will be a unique experience with new professions.

This is all assuming you don’t have 8 80s.

I thought it was capped at 250 times (so as to not skew achievement boards). Or 250 points, just seem to remember 250 in conjunction with a dev post on this.

Edit: It was points, just had to make sure, under General.

Haha yeah, but there’s not much incentive to do that either, is there? If I did that I’d just get my name on some board that nobody will notice unless I’m in the top 3 or my guildmates look for my name specifically.

So, personal achievement means nothing? That’s more of an incentive for me than anything else. Can I do it and have fun doing it? Who cares if I get recognized for it by others? I know I set out to do something and did it.
What you’re saying is…what is there to do now for a title or some kind of recognition for?
The point isn’t that there’s not clear cut goals that you’re told to do. The point is having fun doing things you want for your own sense of achievement and enjoyment. People have suggested many in this thread….and that’s just starting.

You will never achieve everything, they will add new things, or you can come up with your own challenges. For example, you could see how quickly you can earn 1k gold and give it to me.
