from there if you want to jump the puzzle again to parck your alt at the top it’s fine since you’ll actually jump it to the top.for the mesmer port problem, not all the jP can be ported to the end, just keep the new rewards for those that cant be ported to!

The jp loot is once a day and probably won’t award that much crafting material. Plus there are other ways to get the crafting material.
Why do you want to come up with so many restrictions/changes/etc.
People who cheat using hacks will most likely jump to each check point and then the chest.
I hope that the focus of the design is regular players. You can get so paranoid about cheaters that you make the game super annoying for regular players.

Ty. Going with the spirit of the game this is a must. Unfortunately, the game is moving away from intrinsic rewards and playing for the fun of it. People want reward reward reward, so doing jumping puzzle and getting greens and blues is hardly worth it.

Markof your ideas are terrible.
So what if someone parks a char at a JP chest? The chest can only be opened per character once a day. Its not like they can wait a few hours and log back in to open it, like you can with many mining nodes in the game that respawn. Stop punishing players who don’t park their chars, because that’s all your ideas do: punish players.
I have exactly one character with map completion who can get to every jp, and one char who can get to a bit less than half of them. Your system would hurt me because now I get half the mats that you might get even though I’m doing the same content just with fewer chars.
Really, stop trying to hold everyone back, kitten .

You’ll get ascended harvesting in WvW when PvE stops needing to WvW for jps/map completion.

they might not be the funiest jumpins around but they are for sure the most dangerous and stressfull ones, and for those quality alone they are worth it.
WvW puzzles are adventures onto themselfs, first you have to get to them and depending on the configuration of the map that alone is a tough thing to do.
Then while you concentrate on jumping you also have to check for unfriendlly incomming players.
as soon as they turn into PvP combat areas they are acrobatic fastpaced and heavilly tactic areas where large numbers doesnt mean that much.
You might not like them but the world is what you make it !

We already called national geographic to document the exodus from the champions to the jumping puzzles.
Get ready to see the flood of players on LA’s JPs and the posts like “Hey! I have 16 accounts but now I can’t do the JPs more than 100 times a day because the game recognize my IP address!”
I’m kind of confused as to why people are saying that Mesmer portals are skipping or trivializing the Jumping Puzzles. Now, my Mesmer is only level 22, but I’m pretty sure I have to be able to stand in both locations in order to set up the portals.
That means that no skipping ever happened. I had to do the entire JP before I could set up a portal.

JPs are fun, but never revisited after the achievement.
I can’t speak for everyone, but I tend to revisit a few after achievement.
(shrugs) It’s free silver for just a quick detour. I can’t complain, but after Colin’s post I guess it will only get better for me.
@Colin : as long as you will not fix your rotten camera system in JP, they will never be fun to do.
Bingo, I like jumping puzzles, but not in this game. The mechanics as well as the camera needs a complete revamp.
You can do exactly the same movement, at the same place in a puzzle, and get a different result. Solving a puzzle is one thing, fighting the camera and mechanics is quite another.

I was not crying, not at all
i was trying to find constructive solutions to what is considered by some to be a problem ( actally 2 problems, parking and teleport) and says that rather than dealing with the forseeable outcome of such problems abuse they prefer to not have the mat drop on jp chests.
as for me i dont see any problems, if people are (find the adjective that suits your taste the most) to level up alts and then park them at some points to only log them for a few minutes a day let them do it.
if you someone doesnt like puzzles as they are now they wont like them with loots , they will just add them to the “chorses” they have to do each day.
as i see it champions are not meant to be run over by a zerg of loot starving franzy people, but that is what some of them have turned out to be so what should we strip champions of their loot too to prevent that turn of event ?
i guess no because if we dont do things because some people are going to abuse the system then better stop playing at all cause whatever system you build, some people are going to abuse it.
Once you’ve done the jp’s the rewards are not spectacular and I’m not convinced a few materials will entice people back to an aspect of the game that some people find frustrating/annoying/time-consuming. If they are to be rewarding, at least consider allowing us to earn more achieivement points for repeating them. I rarely see others doing the jp’s in wvw these days now that blueprints are on the TP.

What if we had puzzles scale with difficulty in some manner to make them more challenging? Much like we do with the events in Orr and elsewhere…Maybe make random traps/earthquakes/enemy spawns the more players that show up!?!
Adds to the fun factor, hoards of players in one area just pointing out “hey jump there!”…I say meh! make em all love it!

I’m just worried that some of the mini dungeons would become amazingly trivial if they got as much traffic as this would cause, are you guys going to implement a way for the mini dungeons to scale with the people there? Because I’d love to still be able to do the mini dungeons and not just have a cake walk to the loot (and seeing how the community farmed Orr for chests I can only dread what they’ll do to mini dungeons.)
PS: could you make events more RNG instead of so clockwork? It really kills the whole “living world” vibe when there’s a Zerg running a circuit of champion/event slaying.

make these materials tradable, as while i enjoy jumping puzzles i have no intention of ever crafting ascended gear for any of my characters, alternately let them vendor for more than the blues/greens we would have gotten from the puzzle
in regards to parking/ portaling, parking isn’t really an issue given A you have to complete it at least once, and B cant do anything else with that character for 24h, you can also park at dragon events/ cooking farms etc, the only way to prevent this would be to move people when they log, which would screw people who DC part way through(it does happen)
portaling is more of a problem as you don’t even have to complete it once to get the achievement/ reward, it also completely negates the time taken to get there, ie if rewards are balanced around time investment, they cant be any good when you have people who can complete it in less than 10 seconds, a method to counter this would be to make more puzzles like hidden garden and scavengers chasm, where you have to have items obtained from clearing the puzzle to open the chest
also when can we have legendary Armour/ jewelry?

Passing the upgrade item from one piece of gear to another using a transmute stone is just an accident in the technique.
