What if temporary content was permanent?

I think if temporary content was made permanent, people would do it until they had the achievements and then it would be abandoned.
I think it would divide the player base so that people who play off hours would likely be screwed.
Every MMORPG I’ve played has dead zones and dead dungeons because they’re old. I don’t really want to see that happening here.
I could see that happening if they didn’t give players incentives to do these activities.
But one only has to look at the lessons ArenaNet learned with Jade Quarry in the first game to realise that if the incentives were good enough, people would populate these areas.
I know you played GW1 Vayne, so you’ll remember when Jade Quarry was the red-headed step-child of the game, holding back map completion because there were never enough players queuing to get into the map.
ArenaNet revised the rewards you got for playing there and implemented decent anti-leeching code, and it quickly became a favourite PvP pastime for lots of players.
So with the right incentives, players would potentially gravitate to all of these areas.
