When creating alt I have to unlock tons of the waypoints to be able to actually fully enjoy the game. Thanx to the sheer size of the game it takes a lot of time and for me it is source of huge boredom and anger.

How to fix it? Easy – make WP unlock account wide.
Please mind I am talking ONLY about waypoints – NOT points of interest, SP, hearts, vistas – ie this will not speed up (much) Gift of Exploration grind. But it will make playing alts much more fluent experience!

Ehhh. This is one of those things it seems that I just don’t have any meaningfully concerning feelings on. I don’t find myself wishing for it. I wouldn’t throw fits if it were made just so.

Yeah I’m working on 100% map complete on my 4th character and it’s actually pretty annoying. I always have to trick myself into leveling a new toon because the thought of doing map complete again always makes me not want to do it.

WP unlocking is part of the XP source for leveling up. If you have one character is world completion that is a LOT of XP just down the drain for new characters.

Also, too bad.

Also, get over it, it isn’t that difficult run around the world for the first time per character. Just a couple weeks ago I ran seven or eight characters from Lion’s Arch to the stand of trees in Orr, for foxfire, cause none of them had ever been there, or had a reason to go there before. It didn’t take all that long, really.

There are several things that should be account wide that aren’t that is one of those things sadly I doubt they’ll do anything about it.

Yes, totally agree. I’m making my third legendary right now and will not do map completion until it’s the last thing left, in case Anet fixes this and make map completion account bound in the next feature patch.

What if someone get an account wide unlock of waypoints after the first char and wants later to make a third legendary? It would impossible for him to do so as it’s map completion with waypoints included that give you the gift of exploration.
