Let me start by saying I love this game. I’ve played since release, taking short breaks here and there. In my opinion it’s the best mmo out and in the top five of all time.

Lately all I do is log in do my daily which consists of running a fractal and doing some spvp. I don’t think I’m burned out just at a standstill state. I don’t enjoy wvw so that is a huge portion of the game that I don’t experience on a daily basis. I have five classes to 80 well equipped with ascended and exotics.

I guess my question is what keeps you coming back. The love of the game? The fact there isn’t much else out atm? The goals you have yet to accomplish? I do really enjoy my time here, just finding myself longing for something new or different. I guess this eventually happens in any game you play long enough.

Dailies. I think that’s about it. For some reason, that little laurel keeps me going. :\

Sometimes I hop in on guild run Mondays. (Yay)
And there’s Warband Wednesday with my bud.

Outside of having a legion of alts, I’m not sure why I keep focusing on it.

Many alts; handle it!

The endless amount of new and exciting content. Feels like we get an expansion worth of content every update.

Seriously.

On any given day, I don’t play past the point where I start to get bored, tired or in a negative head-space for any other reason.

At 90% its my guild. A lot of the members were friends of mine or became friend with the game.
- Doing WvW raid 3-4 times per weeks
- Going after achievement just because I’m a completionist and like it
- Doing guild mission each week
- And now a guildmate got back into the game and brought me back into sPvP

The RP. I’ve even let some dailies slide recently.

Like you, I am probably more at a stand still. When I do play, which I do more often after the mid season break, I play on my asuran engi, whom I’ve chosen to become my dedicated crafter.
- I keep my eyes on GW2 and I’m excited to see the unrevealed areas of Tyria, along with Cantha and Elona, not to mention some of the geography that has never been explored in the franchise.

I hope ANet will pick up the pace at some point with these new zones and having some quality solo and multiplayer content for them, maybe filling them with more Dynamic Events and other kinds of content further down the road (it is a living world after all).
- Hopefully they’ll release Cantha and Elona as expansions (I’d prefer such huge continents with that many zones in an Expansion pack – just my opinion, I think there’s more room for polishing the content).

I’m not as frequenting a player of GW2 as I had hoped, but I’m enjoying it in my own way and at my own pace, and the fact that I can do that keeps me coming back.

Stupidity. For some reason, I still have hope that things will improve.

Sound too harsh?

We say we need more endgame content, and we get the NPE.

We say we want more communication (you know, dialogue with meaningful exchanges), and we get “We’re listening!” but never hear anything back.

We wait more than a year for new content that isn’t an open-world PvE zerg clusterkitten, just to find out that they’re not working on anything.

We ask them what we can expect, in broad strokes, from the future of the game, and we get silence.

And yet, here I still am. Yeah, I’m stupid.

Ok, I seem to have killed the thread with that post, so here’s a more fun one:

Not dailies, but the daily. I check for Ambient Killer, and log off if its not there. Sometimes I’ll just do AK, and not finish the others >.>

For me, the living world. Yes it has its negatives, but it does have its positives, and I am very happy whenever a new release comes out, as the concept is still very unique to GW2 and has definitely given me a blast for the past year and a half.
Here’s to hoping we will be able to replay Season 1 at some point in the future.

I really love fractals. Good challenge, nice sense of progression, decent chance at rewards. I just wish they would add more!

Roleplay – my warband is awesome and I love ‘em. They’re about 60% of why I stay around.

The Living Story is the rest – I’m really enjoying what they’re doing with it, and the steady trickle of new content is, to me, MUCH more effective than one big expansion that everyone will race through within 4 days.

I’m only level 66 still so getting to level 80 keeps me going. After that I guess we’ll see. I guess I want really cool gear and to also get better at running dungeons. I’ve only been through a dungeon a couple times and both times I got my kitten whooped.

Part of why I still play is the friends I’ve made over the last 2 years. For now, it’s Silverwastes, from which I’ve been able to get alot of lower tier mats to finish getting my leatherworking to 500. The main thing that keeps me here after 6+k hrs, is getting the precursor I’m waiting to make and/or gold to buy it . LOL

7k hr, 13k AP, 16 char, all classes 80 Sadly, 3.5k hr. Ranger

I’ve been running one of the greatest maguuma guilds since release day. I try to keep myself busy recruiting, working on the website, and trying to make new like-minded friends. Our mumble has become more of a place to hang out and wait for GW2 to grow. The friends I’ve made here now play stuff like payday 2, path of exile, and wildstar.

All of this has gotten harder as most veterans have gotten bored in recent months, and a lot of new players seem to get bored and quit too. It never used to be like that – I’ve raised tons of guildies from 200AP to 8000+ dungeon bosses. It’s getting hard to find motivated people that also want a new guild, which speaks more to the game’s population health.

I myself log in every day to mine some rich iron nodes. After making thousands of gold over two years, it’s all I can think of to do with myself for a few minutes a day before I’m bored. Oh I mine the sprockets in my home instance, too.

Let it be known I’m infinitely happy that this game has provided me more than 3000 hours of joy. I certainly have gotten my money’s worth. As the ongoing best current MMO, however, I expect more for years to come! I can’t flex all my sweet gear with no GvG, custom home/halls, or people in the cities!

I played flyff and Perfect world intl for 3-5 years each, and they were free and ugly. Anet, put out an expansion. I got $60 on it.
